"...that's right, I'm moving you up to command. Don't worry about it Dick, Joe Vitale's a damn good man; Easy Company is in good hands!"

And that was the day and the hour, when Hitler's fate was sealed. Amazing that today, people still think Joe is in his 20s.

Joe Vitale is short for Ronald Speirs.

Since someone mentioned same, it is of historical note that for security reasons (Nazi sympathizers were not aware of his real identity until recently), Joe Victory's name was changed to Ronald Speirs for the filming of the epic mini-series.

Or more accurately the mini-series attempted to portray the indomitable will and fearsome fighting skills of one Easy Company warrior who stood above the others as he rose through the ranks. Unfortunately because of budget constraints at HBO the second and third to last episodes originally planned, depicting how one man hitched a ride into Berlin, seized intelligence that lead to the wolf's den, infiltrated the underground bunker and single-handedly slaughtered a company of krauts before choking the life out of Hitler... had to be cut. Instead you see the ending where men were parading around a mountain top retreat, drinking booze. But otherwise, a pretty realistic depiction of Joe Valiant.

Chancellor Vitale, please take a look at this from Cole's +/- thread:

Vitale would be a good stop gap on Malkin's line. His speed and tenacious forechecking would really help that line. He can also dish the puck much better than anyone in the bottom six outside of Sutter.

We are lucky DB keeps him in the lineup so, whatever. I'm sure we will see a steady dose of TK, Cooke and Glass rotating with the Malkin line. Jeffrey may get a shot, but I can't see him as a solution in the top six.
First sentence, second paragraph. Joe Vitale a stop gap? Please. Malkin (and Neal) would be a stop gap on Joe Vitale's line.

You know, Burgundy's heresy is transparent. It can be dealt with. But, for Jiggy, the one to whom you deferred responsibility for Joe Vitale's wrath on HFBoads, to indulge in so blatant and hypocritical a display of heresy.

Well, as one of Joe Vitale's true worshipers and someone who is in awe of the awesome responsibility that He has placed upon you at HFBoards, I think I speak for my fellow true worshipers when I urge you to deal with Jiggy's heresy swiftly, brutally, and without the slightest sign or mercy or remorse.

Joe does not care about labels. Only Victory matters. Move him to 2LW and let 45G in 45 games (each) for Malkin and Neal commence. 90 Assists would be a good season's work for Joe.

I don't think that works.

Perhaps the world one day might be the MVP of Joe Vitale's universe?

What the hell... is going on here... I'm so upset, friends. See here is what happened...

I was at the mall yesterday buying some Joe Vitale posters, and I checked my iPhone and was flabbergasted to see someone hacked my account.

I talked to support and found out it was Burgundy "the filth" who hacked my account and was posting unflattering things about Joe.

Joe is obviously a first liner and has only decided through his graciousness to let Malkin and Crosby have the spotlight shine brightly on them.

We need to put a stop to Burgundy's evil ways. Who is with me?

Well played. Who does Craig Adams think he is addressing Joe's first born so informally?
Doesn't this Harvard sod have any social graces? Doesn't he know you're supposed to bow before hockey royalty?

The Ten Commandments of Joe Vitale

And Joe spake all these words, saying,

I am the Lord thy Vitale, which have brought thee out of the land of Lockout, out of the house of bondage.

1. Thou shalt have no other 4th liners before me.

2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven Adams', or any likeness of any player that is in 3rd line above, or that is in the press box beneath, or that is on the snow upon the ice. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy Vitale am a jealous Joe, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy Vitale in vain; for the Lord Joe will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

4. Remember the Hockey Night in Pittsburgh, to keep it holy. On about every other day shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the chosen day's are the game day of the Lord thy Vitale: in them thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy wife/girlfriend, nor that one friend that's always really negative, nor thy buddy's girlfriend that talks about girly things while the game is on, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates(unless thou be-ith from thy unholy land of Sodomelphia and Philmorra): For in one shift the Vitale made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and NEVER rested on any shift or any day: wherefore the Lord Joe blessed the game day, and hallowed it.

5. Honour thy Mario and thy Burkle: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy Vitale giveth thee.

6. Thou shalt always kill penalties.

7. Thou shalt not commit turnovers.

8. Thou shalt always steal pucks on the forecheck.

9. Thou shalt not bear false witness made against thy teammate. Thou shall retaliate.

10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's winger, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's prospect, nor his coach, nor his general manager, nor his play-by-play guy, nor his color commentator, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

So I was re-watching last season´s In The Room just now, because of reasons, and at one point during the first episode Bylsma says: "It doesn´t matter if it is with Crosby, Staal or Vitale, we play the same game." (paraphrased)
How does Staal even get named in the same breath as the other two?
