A lot of things take their time and you cannot blame the KHL for not turning everything around overnight. The rules however are one era they could change in a heartbeat, so the KHL is fully to blame for the Artyukhin verdict.

"product" is something you can buy btw, which isnt KHL´s case it seems, at least wasnt in case of Barys x Slovan game etc. Sometimes it looks like KHL´s priority isnt making money (cant adapt to fans needs, trying to sell silly full season package 7 games before end of regular season, no easy two-clicks buy of single games for internet simpletons etc) but at the same time, money are issue when selling TV rights to obscure TVs with zero coverage ? Fans are confused because they have no idea how and where to watch Slovan games, they have good reasons to complain.
We've discussed this a million times already just this year, Kajoo. It's not at the best level in the world yet, but KHL is making leaps ahead. Give the league some time.

Yes CSKA was lucky because that shot looked like it was going to the top corner, then the rebound off the post... Great plays by Minsk at the end, just no finish..

yeah, and Radulov was forgiven by the refs as well, which should have caused a 5 on 3 for Minsk...but win's a win.

Damn, Orielly leaves Metallurg before the sigining window closes. Apparently it was mutual because Magnitka has replacement set in place and would need the deal to be done before the 31st.

Are you talking about the play where Niskala was hooked, and I Radulov roughed/gloved Meleshko to the face? That was strange, indeed should have been a 5-3. I think the call was for the roughing, but the hooking infraction was way more obvious.

Huh, I would be hugely surprised if they sign Indrasis, while Karsums is available.

Savickis said that there is a guy, which 3 clubs are interested in. I always thought it was Karsums.

Finally Savchenko released by Barys. They weren't really playing him, he should have stayed in Avto IMO, maybe he will go back there.

I've said this before, but I keep getting surprised by the similarities between my favourite KHL and NHL team. That is, Slovan Bratislava and LA Kings.

Take the Kings' 1-2 overtime loss in Edmonton last night. It was a classic Slovan KHL game. The strategy goes like this:
  • Build everything on the superior play of your goaltender (Quick and Janus). That's your foundation.
  • Get a goal from a fast counter-attack. Because your offence and power-play are struggling, getting goals from counter-attacks is often the only option.
  • Hold on to the meager 1-0 lead like crazy, counting down the minutes and seconds left in the game.
  • If all goes fine, you're the champ. If not, allow the equalizer in the final minute of the game. (And you might just as well lose the game in OT/SO, then.)
There have been countless games like that by Slovan in the KHL this season. Including the bad variation, with the equalizer allowed in the final seconds of the game.

Well, the Kings won the Stanley Cup last year, employing such tactics. I'm not sure the same tactics will be enough for Slovan to win the Gagarin Cup.

Atlant won 5;3 at Novgorod today. No surprise for me but the final score is quite high for the teams

That's oversimplifying it quite a lot. Remember the score from the final game? They also had a relentless forecheck, the likes of which I haven't seen in ages, if ever. Plus they had good puckmoving defensemen that in addition to being paired perfectly (veteran-youngster) were also able to pass out from the oppositions forecheck with ease.
