He played with a lack of intensity the first game and got benched. A little early to be in the doghouse considering where we are in the season, it has more to do with expectations than anything else.
As for the OP, Bickell and Morin doesn't even get a conversation going for Eller. Gonna have to do better than that. Not sure what Chicago would offer though. It couldn't be a quality for quantity deal though, unless Montreal got the quality (which is unlikely)
Well, what's the price? Chicago probably doesn't want to trade TT, Danault, McNeill, or a 1st as far as porpsects go. As far as NHL talent, they won't trade anyone with more talent than Stalberg.
I'm not sold on the guy personally (Desharnais that is) but he is averaging over .6pts per game, and is a + player on a bad team. There are arguments for/against his usefulness, but it would take a solid NHL ready or near-NHL ready player...or the equivalent pick/s to get him moved. Then again, it all depends on the other Centres in the system (Eller, Plekanec, Galchenyuk et al.)
