I'm assuming it's conditioning - though they should have done this to begin with. So many dmen up, they could have afforded to give him some games with the Marlies to get him back up to speed.

So I guess we'll be rolling with the lines we saw in Game 1? Or maybe we'll see Fraser replace Franson but I'm convinced that Komi's going to get tomorrow's game which leaves one more spot open.

Definitely conditioning. I think he had one full practice before coming back into the lineup. He just needs some minutes in the AHL to get back up to speed.

We're fine anyways

Phaneuf-Kostka
Liles-Franson
Gunnar-Komisarek
Kostka on the first pair and first PP doesn't seem fine, at least to me.

We're fine?? Cody Franson is the worst. If Gardiner had a "bad game" yesterday then I don't know how to describe Franson's game. Fraser>Franson.

I have no problem with this move. He needs big minutes after coming off his concussion and to get back into the flow of the game.

Sending him back down to the Marlies so he can play in all situations 5 on 5, pk, pp and get his legs going again. With the short season there is no room to ease a guy back into the lineup. If this was an 82 game season you can afford to bring in along slowly but not in a 48 gamer.

He will probably be back up in 10-14 days once he is back to full speed.

The only thing is, the next game for the marlies is tomorrow but then they are off until Friday as it is allstar time for the AHL

I was just messing. It's probably for conditioning.

If he is down for conditioning it's for the best. Toronto management playing it safe with young players doesn't hurt.

Perhaps they will recall him afterwards. I think they just want to give him a chance to play more without throwing him to the wolves completely unready. Nothing much to this. I highly doubt it's a trade of any kind.

Also in the AHL there is more practice time in between games which is what he needs

He just going down for Conditioning and to get his game back on track. He hasnt been that sharp in the last two games. And i doubt anyone is gonna get called up. This just means that both Cody franson and Komisarek will be able to play with Fraser being the odd man out.

Didn't really expect that but I'm sure Eakins and the Marlies are thrilled lol, **** their d is depleted. Like raging bull mentioned its kind of weird that they would send him down for a conditioning stint right now considering the Marlies play tomorrow night then are off for a week or so. Maybe Carlyle didn't like something he's seen with hia game, I know Gunnarson was getting the 2nd pp ice with Liles against the islanders so who the **** knows. Hopefully moving out a guy like Franson in a trade and they are just sending Gardiner down for the weekend. I thought he looked fine personally. Who the **** knoqs

I think he was fine the first 2 games or w/e. He's definitely better than franson. I really hope it's not a trade.

No need to rush him. Perhaps he started to face minor symptoms during/after the isles game. Just a conditioning stint.

maybe thats the point: practice instead of game. with the NHL schedule its not like he`s going to have any downtime.
