Im with the majority here and see the boys bouncing back tonight. Second game of a back to back with Miller in net, and facing Dan Ellis. Lets go

I just saw that assist by Vanek (Unfortunately I was at work and missed both the Kings and the Sabres blah)

Mother of god that was slick.

Imagine what would've happened if Pommers was caught of guard and fumbled it, resulting in no chance whatsoever? So much anger.

Poms was waiting for the return feed the entire time. VHP are extremely comfortable with one another, and it shows in their high level play on offense. They know what the other guy is thinking at all times.

Is RJ off the IR and return tonight? Anyone see him during the morning skate? How'd he look?

Sylvester still? God kill me.

We need the Ennis and Grig lines to get the offense rolling tonight, we are going to end up relying on VHP too often and it's already burned us.

Carolina gives them fits. Another shorty against seems like a given.

I am glad to see so many of you posting in this thread today. I thought for sure mass suicide was going to take place given the state of the GBU thread yesterday.

Sabres win 5-2.

Miller plays great surrendering a late goal to make it 5-2.

Sabres PP get's back to scoring, VHP continue, Grigs with his first point and 2 goals from Sabres D men

Jeez...just realized only VHP has produced an even strength goal so far, that has to change tonight.

You must be new here, it's always like that after a loss/when we are getting lit up.

I have stayed in the shadows for the last few years. Typically when the Sabres play poorly I do not show up here to take a beating in the GBU thread (not a glutton for punishment). Yesterday was an exception. People seem to forget that the Kings and Devils, who both played quite poorly at time last regular season went to the Stanley Cup. It's a new NHL where there is enough talent on any given roster to win or lose on any given night. Canes needed the W, they showed up, and the Sabres lost.

Chad "Compuware" LaRose is also due for a goal or two since he was held off the score sheet last night.

Aww it's fun seeing all the angry people though.

I agree with what you said though, we were awful from the start.

I'll be ANGRY if we lose. We have no reason with Miller in and at home.

Some good goaltending would also help.

Agreed. A big concern that needs to be addressed.

A even bigger concern IMO is the defensive play. Way too passive and not physical enough. The Hurricanes had life way too easy and too much time with the puck in our zone. Need more pressure and physicality on the puck carriers in our zone.
