Ugh.

That will be just ridiculous, I'm sure.

I hate being a leafs fan. I can handle the losing. It's my fellow leaf fans I can't handle....

What in God's name is this?

Funny how, that same night we saw Kulemin blow past Letang to set up JvRs first goal. So, that must mean Letang is the new Aki Berg then, right?

Rangers are 1 and 3. Nash trade was horrendous, fire the coach and burn the jerseys.

Why would you assume that?

"Oh I'm sure its out there...I just have no proof."

I don't assume such things. I know for a fact that Phaneuf just watched a player skate RIGHT BY HIM for a breakaway goal.

Let's just face it, you hate Phaneuf due to some sort inferiority complex. I'm sure you just want Elisha Cuthbert and is angry because he's rich and successful and you're stuck behind a keyboard with your thumb up your ***. So much unnecessary hate.

If these are the kinds of things you guys need to resort to.

Berg had a better shooting percentage than Phaneuf so he should be captain.

Maybe OP can call up Aki somewhere and see what hes doing, Ill bet the farm he isn't playing hockey.

How about Alex Burrows? He's no Crosby but this looks good:

Is this real? Dion has been great so far from what I have seen. Posts like this make me sad I'm a leafs fan.

Actually you are right, that wasn't even Phaneuf's fault.

Captain bashing has long been a passtime of some Leafs "fans"

Sundin used to get it as well.

Can anyone recommend a good site or area to have decent discussions about the leafs and doesn't have fans like in the OP? Seriously can't take this anymore. Gets me pissed off and embarrassed constantly.

That also wasn't his man either.

He had to come from the far side (and he did right away) to track down Burrows.

Bad example.

The plays are basically the same and you're seeing what you want to see. The biggest difference would be that Crosby is 20x the player Burrows is.

How the hell does this guy get through 2 guys so easily?

I mean Kessel, I understand because he is a total BUST defensively, but our Captain?

Embarrassing.
That was ugly, atrocious, horrible, disheartening.

Phaneuf, seems like the type of guy that talks a lot but can't back it up. What the **** was that.

This guy is a #3 D-man I'd say, I just don't understand this guy looks like he's 350 pounds skating out there, not agile AT ALL, no hustle, he's like a freakin hunchback.

Just have a good game on Saturday and turn it around, I 'new-old Dion' is what I want, not the 'old Dion from the Ronnie Wilson days'.

No they aren't.

Crosby skated directly by Phaneuf.

Burrows received his pass on the far side of Weber and he instantly saw it and chased him down.

Not even close at all.

No, I agree, he's not done. But he's far from that defenseman in his first three years in Calgary. And that tag was so engraved on him that he still has people thinking that he is a top defenseman but he simply is not.

No, he's not done. But I don't see him ever being more than a 45 point defenseman with 10 goals a season and some major, major gaffs in his own end.

Anyone who thinks 60 points and 20 goals will happen is out to lunch.

And a 45 point defenseman with some major defensive gaffs is NOT a number one defenseman. Not sure why he still has that label.

But he's still solid I guess ya, far from done.

Both plays were up the middle. Weber is officially a terrible d-man, we have the one youtube clip to prove it. He's just awful. Preds should dump him for scraps.

Don't take that too literally, no one was. But he has been very good, better than any point in his career even when Ron Wilson called him the best d man in the NHL last year.
