Crazy depth?

A journeyman, a 26 year old who has not proven anything at the NHL, and a good young prospect (one of the best in the AHL)? Come on. The Flames were just as "stacked" last year and must have insane depth with Kiprusoff, Irving, Taylor and Brust (the two best goaltenders in the AHL). Crazy depth!

I don't disagree with the premise of your point but to call Anderson a journeyman at this point is erroneous. It's a bit like saying Brian Campbell is a journeyman d-man.

Point taken. Anderson has still been around the league a fair bit. It's not like there ws a bidding war when he was a free agent.

He didn't get to free agency with Ottawa.

Except Bishop > anyone not named Kipper. Also quite a few people(probably Murray as well) think Lehner can be an NHL starter now.

The flames are no where near Ottawa's depth.

Kipper is very capable of playing 40+ games this season, Irving can handle himself since we got points in 4 of his 7 starts last year despite facing 30+ shot every game. Backup goalie is not a major problem in Calgary

Agreed. Ive already said in this thread that theres no reason for Calgary to get Bishop.

Solid number 1, solid back up and up and coming potential superstar... Looks like pretty good depth to me

These two are on AHL contracts. You would have to give them a 2 way contract if you want to claim them as your own.

How do we know Bouwmeester is being misused when the Flames system has been around for a total of 3 games?

Under Sutter, yes he was misused. But the Flames have an entirely new coaching staff, only 5 of the guys playing in the top 9 (they seem to have 11-12 guys rotating in and out of the top 9. were with the team on opening night last year, cases can be made for a couple of them being misused as well, they also brought in a PP specialist and big RH point shot.
