Im pretty sure, Lemieux and Mckeown will fight on Feb 7th. Going to be some bad blood flowing in that game. Maybe his loyal team-mate, class-mate Sam Bennett will do the honours.

I think Lemieux was gone from the Marlies by the time these boys arrived. Bennett is a lot more likely to drop em with Lemieux.

U may have a point. The 2 of them were pissed when that hit happened. That game for me is a cant miss game on the 7th. Mckeown looked really angry after the hit, he may get a deja vu and send a message. Interesting to see. Im sure the two of them, will discuss it. Lemieux could really agitate the Fronts by declining the fight, I think he will though.

There will most likely be a fight but in my opinion the hit wasn't that bad. Also on the point from someone earlier about him causing problems in the room, look what we heard about Athanasiou and he is one of our best, most consistant players this year. Maybe Lemieux can turn it around.

Are we really playing 8 defencemen tonight?

Ya two on the 4th line forward. A.A had the flu and Theroet has a sprained ankle I believe. Curious what Winnipeg does with Scheifele since he has been scratched for 2 games now. Maybe he will be back in Barrie after the Flordia game tonight or Tampa tomorrow.

Lemieux would probably decline the fight bacause he is a wannabe tough guy.

Apparently Lemieux wants to try Bell from Ottawa as well.

Mark Scheifele should be headed to Barrie extremely soon. He's not quite yet ready to play in the NHL just yet.

Is this just speculation? Or have you heard something? This is great for the Colts if true.

Use the Forum Jump on the top, and go on the Winnipeg Jets site.
There's a good thread on Sheifele, particularly the last 2 pages (as of this moment) are extremely interesting.
One post includes a link to an article in the Winnipeg paper regarding him sitting for a 4th game now.
A lot of coach-bashing going on out there regarding the situation.

Scheifele played last night and was arguably the Jets best forward in a blowout loss. The lopsided score meant that the Jets had the opportunity to give him a fair amount of ice-time later in the game and they played him at centre (versus on the wing) and in a top 6 role; he thrived.

He sure looked ready for a full-time role in the NHL last night.

Simply speculation. But overall from what I've seen he's not ready for the NHL level yet. The Jets shouldn't waste a year of his entry level just yet. Bring him up September. Especially for the minutes he's played when I watched in Winnipeg, it's not worth it

Mark has been sent back to Barrie, as expected. He's quite the prospect but not there just yet.

I agree the strength isn't quite there and I don't think he got a good chance in Winnipeg. Hopefully he comes back and tries and I'm assuming he will based on the kind of person he apears to be . The colts just got a lot better.

As much as Scheifele's return is a huge boost for the Colts, tough to see kid's NHL dreams put on hold. Have read some people saying that he is a bust, but saying that about a 19-year-old is pathetic. How many kids come into the NHL at that age and dominate? He was playing on the 4th line and got few shifts a game. No doubt he needs to get stronger and learn to stay on his feet in battles, plus work on his play and positioning in his own end without the puck, but he's going to be just fine. The kid has elite sniping skills and a big time shot from the slot area. Should be an exciting stretch run and playoff battle between Barrie, Belleville and Oshawa.

Who ever has been saying that is just blind or uneducated...

He's pretty much guaranteed to be an NHLer so that removes bust out of the equation... Really it's just a question of where he ends up between 1C-3C. If I was to stage a guess it be low-end 1C, high-end 2C tweener.

What's with these slow starts by Barrie? Not going to comeback every game and tonight proved that.

I assume that Justin Scott was a healthy screatch last night, but what about Anthony Camara? Was it just a rest day?

Suspended 6 games for a cross check against Plymouth. Scott was probably just a healthy scratch.
