That is who I've been saying for a long time.

Roy for a few seasons was around a PPG player before his knee got absolutely shredded. I see Kadri having that type of upside and style. Excellent in close with stickhandling, deceptive speed, just an okay shot for speed but in close very accurate and calm in when to use it, plays with an edge.

The biggest issue I think Kadri will have throughout career moving forward is constitency.

I like that comparison a fair bit. Ribeiro was also tabbed with character questions early in his career, though in his case I think they were accurate. I'd say Nazem is a little more physical than Ribs.

I see second line center or a top line winger with an average of 15-25 goals per year 40-60 points. Peak year of 30g and 70 points.

Kadri has been a pleasant surprise this year .

The change in management from Burke/Wilson to Nonis/Carlyle has given him a new lease on life and greater opportunities.

Kads has taken full advantage of that with is play.

I'm making this thread because his upside is very unclear to me. I want to know your opinions on how you think he compares to current and past prospects at a similar age so far, and what you think this kid can do in the show this year and for year to come.

I'm aware there are similar threads, but I wanted this one to be as current as possible, without half of it just being boneheaded quotes from before this season had began.

He needs to work on his face-offs though. Wow he's bad at them.

Blame the organization for constantly putting him on wing before.

Hopefully he can learn from guys like Bozak and Steckel to improve that part of his game.

Some of us have been standing by Kadri the whole time. Not a large amount of us, but there's a couple.

Kadri has so much talent. I'd go as far to say he is more talented than Lupul and almost at Kessel level.

I think he could become a first line centre.

Sorry... common pet peeve for me. You can compare anyone with anything and not say they are 100% similar. Comparing does not = same.

I see a lot of Dougie in Nazem, would love if he reached that kind of potential.

Now carry on with the discussion.

He's been really good.

Hopefully he can keep it up. Frattin looked amazing in his first game too. Insane hits that this kid can make. Love the Fratts - Naz - Leo line.

On Prime Time today this was discussed and it was funny the comment was he's a good prospect but very few people in Toronto think his potential is anything more than a 2nd. liner.

I know Mckown wasn't hosting, but he has already mocked Leaf fans and stated he believed Kadri was a horrific bust. So really I couldn't care less.

I've never said a negative thing about him in any post. I've slammed Kessel, Phaneuf, Wilson, Burke, and Bozak. So it's not like I wear blue and white goggles.

Kadri will be a star maybe even an 80 point season some day.

Ok I think your over-rating this guy vastly! Kessel has improved every year and is a mutli dimeonsal sniper who is now a ppg player, and up there with guys like Gaborik. Lupul is a 50-60 pt sniper, and elevated his game to a new level last season. Kadri at 23 is STILL struggling to find his niche in the NHL, and here you are saying he is more talented then a 1st liner, sorry but I just diagree with your assessment.

Kadri is the main reason to watch this season. He's doing what he does best, scoring and drawing penalties. He's finally given a chance to develop at the NHL level and with that I think he has the potential to be a star. By game 24 I want to see him centering the top line with Bozak taking over the 3rd. Top 9

JVR - Kadri - Kessel
Komarov - Grabo - Kulemin
Mac - Bozak - Frattin

randy talks to him alot, and believes in his abilities, nice to see that, carlyle is kind of like eakins in many ways
