The more i hear about the Te'O story...the more I think he was scammed. No doubt about it. Everyone should accept this and move on. The media's going to shove it down our throats, though.

Thanks for your input. Maybe if you actually read the discussion you'd understand. Especially considering they were mentioned once or twice each over the last three pages.

(Minus the Edwards->Flacco thing which is daft, let's just say the only reason I can even see it is because people quoted it).

I just hope and pray for Buffalo to get a stud QB. Fitz is not the answer. Still surprised they never gave the kid from Seattle a chance.

It beats two weeks of hearing about the Toolbaugh brothers. Didn't old man Jim get his *** kicked by old man Jim Kelly @ RWS once inbetween the locker rooms?

We'd have to give up a HUGE amount of assets for him, and he's coming off an ACL tear, and he wants a massive massive deal after this year. And we're in the division.

Unless the price is below market value (And it won't be) I'd rather draft Milliner.

First I was shocked, then I got to the part where he can opt out of his contract next offseason and can't be franchise tagged. In other words, they feel like he'll want out of their circus so they may as well get something for him. You don't see that kind of thing often in the NFL, where guys are traded just so they aren't lost for nothing in free agency, it's usually guys are traded to get something for them rather than having to cut them.

While this is true, the Jets and Bills aren't known for hitting on these draft picks usually, it is tempting. Plus he knows Pettine and his system.

Not to mention Revis makes an annual tradition of holding out. He's perpetually in search for a big pay day which the Jets haven't been willing to give him.

The question then becomes, is the team trading for him willing to pony up the dough?

Much as I'd love a Revis-Gilmore pairing, I doubt the Bills would spring for the insane amount he's going to get paid, even coming off the ACL tear. And I'm not sure they'd be wrong to pass

The cost of Revis wouldn't be a 1st or 2nd rounder... Coming off an injury and looking for a massive payday.

I think Nassib would be the best case scenario of any QB in this year's draft. Especially something like trading down from #8 to Cincy for #21 and #37...if Eifert/Ertz or Tavon Austin are available at 37 and 42 I think that would be too good value to pass up.

According to @ChrisBrownBills, the asking price is a 1st AND a 2nd, and both the Bills and Patriots have been linked to the rumor (along with some other teams). However, rumor is also that he wouldn't be traded within the division.

MAYBE if he were signed long term already. But he isn't. I'm not giving up a 1st and a 2nd for a year of Revis coming back from injury and probably unhappy that he doesn't have a new contract yet.

Asking price is too high. At most he'll net a 2nd

Of course it is, the Jets would be stupid to not start high. They won't get that, though.

No way man. We met after the bills-dolphins game 3 years ago. I talk to him every night on the phone, we've skyped a few times, and I even flew him to Buffalo to meet my parents last easter.

Personally, I hope this is true because after watching hours of college football every Saturday I rank him as the 5th best QB in this draft. Who knows though, there will be tons of fallout over the next few months.
