No.

Some of you really need all the dots connected for you, wow.

Ozymandias is saying PK isn't that desirable to other GMs, on the idiotic basis that there's been no offersheet.

I'm pointing out we don't see offersheets very often.

Is it because:

- Players are afraid to sign them because it gives them a bad reputation or other reasons?
- GMs/Owners are colluding to drive down RFA wages?
- GMs are afraid of retaliation?
- GMs know the other GM will just match?

I don't know the answer, but in this case the answer is irrelevant. Ozymandias' inference that other GMs don't want Subban is simply invalid, that's all.

Moen. He deserved every bit of his contract though. He's been in the NHL for 8 years and was a very important part of Anaheim's cup run in 2007.

I'm also thinking the conversation ended in some kind of ultimatum. Well, ultimatum is probably too harsh a word. Let's say a choice.

Now, I'm torn between enjoying seeing Bergevin making a stand, saying no one is more important than the future I have in sight for this team, and the fear of actually losing the most exciting player we had for the longest time.

I haven't been that excited about a young player since Forsberg. That was a long time ago...

I'd bet that 30% of the Habs fan base has never heard an RFA.

You look at hockey as a game. As a sport to watch either live or on TV for entertainment.

Molson and Bergevin look at hockey as a business that must be managed with regard to revenue and expenses (and there is that silly thing called a salary cap).

If you do not have a business principle or philosophy as a manager, you will quickly fail as you will be a reactive manager instead of a proactive manager.

Enjoy the game. Bergevin knows more about the business side than any of us. Unfortunately for a lot of fans, he does not agree with the fans beliefs of spending other people's money.

I have no problem with the Habs standing firm on this..

If they trade Subban than this current regime won't be here long because they will gut this team of young talent long before it flourishes. Like every other failed regime of the past.

They will warm up to it once he's wearing a Flyers uni and does the Subbie-doo shuffle and goes from blueline to blueline.

Well when you get into a thread, you may have miss some part of it, the question was directed to the poster saying that we were giving 4th liner for year deals and we'd only offer PK 2 or 3

And if Bergevin would acquire 2 or 3 excellent young assets in return ?

That's a little uncalled for, especially coming from someone who needed the dots connected for him that I was being facetious in calling SouthernHab a "true scholar,"(your first clue) on the basis that he's unwilling to reevaluate his opinion on the Subban matter in light of new information.

In any case, let me "connect the dots" for you: what I'm getting at with my question is that perhaps offer sheets had been given to Subban, and we don't know about them. If indeed Ozy is making that implication, and I'm not convinced he is, it would speak against his point, not yours.

K? K.

I don't know if I should take you seriously?... We're trading a young prospect with a potential 1D ceiling + to a team in our conference (extra cost) + a unique player that gives a team extreme visibility with established national sponsorship contracts (extra cost), straight up for a young player that I like alot but that the hockey world agrees has a lower potential ceiling... And you're gloating about it?
