Here's my prediction from before the game...

Quote:
I just finished watching a couple of the Lightning's condensed games on gamecenter and imo we're gonna have our hands full with their second line with Lecavelier and Conacher. They can really forecheck and you'd think they'll get matched against Phillips and Gonchar tonight. Those two are going to have to bring their A game and clear the crease because the likes of Malone and Conacher are going to be in our tender's face all game.

People ******** all over Bishop need to remember this is ONE GAME after he hasnt played in 2 weeks.

But keep holding up lehner getting a shutout in the NHL as proof that Bishop is garbage. But I do agree, I wish Bishop was gone so Lehner could sit on the bench and only play 5 more games this year. WAY better for his development.

Their game plan of throwing pucks to Bishop's feet and then crashing the net, worked pretty well. For a big guy he didn't play very big tonight.

Not really. Maybe having one of them as the #6 would be okay, but we have a problem here and it isn't just Ben Bishop.

Why dont Ottawa play Lehner more often? He has been awesome whenever he has been called upon.

I dont know your team that well, but I dont understand why Bishop gets so many chances but Lehner dont?
Because we need to play Bishop so Bishop can look good so we can trade him.

It's not a well thought out plan.

I've noticed this a lot lately, bishop doesn't elevate his game, He may have been outstanding in the ahl in the past but I have not seen him improve one bit. I would be happy if we got a 2nd in return for him.

any attempt at showcasing or increasing bishops value in this game was futile

Now Sens fans can see why other teams fans are not convinced that Bishop is worth giving up anything of real value for.

It was a winnable game.

A shame they couldn't settle it down.

Oh well, it's tough to win both in Florida.

When Dean Brown said "Loose puck by Bishop" I killed myself laughing because I can't remember a clean save he made without a rebound.
Bishop had a rough game out there but he won't get any better riding the pine all season.

As for our defense, it was the Phillips-Gonchar pairing that struggled mightily tonight.

I always felt that trade for Bishop wasn't necassery with Lehner just around the corner. But I'm sure you will get back more for Bishop than what you gave up. But sorry for Lehner who have to wait.

If Wiercioch is so fantastic then why didn't he play?

Boro, Benoit, Wiercioch... we can not have 2 of them on our team at once unless games like this are an acceptable standard.

Gonchar was quite good in the early going.

I'm thinking the back-to-back thing this early in the season hit them pretty hard in the 3rd relative to the well-rested Bolts.

Bishop sucked pure ass
I can't wait for Philips to retire already.
Greening barely looks like an NHL player without Spezza with him.
O'Brien is lost
Oh did I mention that Philips sucks?
