Boro, Benoit, Wiercioch... we can not have 2 of them on our team at once unless games like this are an acceptable standard.
MacLean wanted to give Boro a game, one of Methot, Phillips or Weircoich (LD) had to sit, MacLean wasn't going to sit Methot or Phillips.

We had two of them on the team and went 3 & 0.

How much better can Lehner get in the AHL though? He is consistently having 35+ save games. Even though he won't play a lot in the NHL, Andy will need his rests, and NHL players>>AHL players

Of course not. I expect more of Anderson, as we all should. There is a reason one is an NHL starter and the other isnt. That means Anderson gets less excuses when he plays bad...because he is a better player.
But.. But I thought we could trade Bishop for a 1st?

A rookie D pairing with Malkin and Crosby on the opposing team. Sounds like a great idea...

ONE GAME. Jesus christ, I see the lockout hasnt done anything to cure the bipolar nature of this board. You people cant seriously be like this in real life...can you?

No disrespect to him, but Bishop is simply not a NHL goalie. He's a very good AHL goalie. I don't know why everyone thinks he's a reasonable backup. Sure, he won some AHL games this year and had a good SV%, but he's never done anything in the NHL, not with St. Louis and not with us. We got lucky when he stood in for Anderson last year and turned out a couple decent games.

Lundin in the defensemen we deserve, but not the one we need right now.

Boro plays physical, but doesn't do much with the puck at all.

Boro and PW also play the same side.

People expected our (mediocre) D corps to be good. People now freaking out because D corps had a bad game against a high-offence team. Bishop wasn't the only problem tonight, guys.

This board is a bit hilarious.

3 of the goals on bishop were clearly not his fault.

As a goalie and a goalie coach I tried to sit back and analyze Ben Bishop a bit for this game. I don't think that he played particularly poorly.

The last goal was unstoppable, maybe he could have more quickly gotten across but I doubt it. The one before that was a tip which could of been played better if he was a bit more square but frankly it was such a poor play by our Dman that there's not the same time to get set up. The first goal was a scramble which may have been handled better. The Hedman slap shot was a perfect screen that I doubt if Anderson or Lehner would of stopped.

If any goalie stopped that last shot it would of been fluke not skill.
