I was fearful the team would show some tired legs in the 3rd after back-to-back games.

Good lordy, watching that 2nd TB goal...Phillips gets blown off the puck coughing it up, then tickle-fights Stamkos in front of the net.

Moment where you tell your friends you're not going out with them and then Ben Bishop ruins your night.... I am pissed

This .... I know Andy will need a few games off but after 3 ? not just 3 games 3 where he was excellent.

The senior citizen D pair did Bishop no favours either.

We got lucky when he stood in for Anderson last year and turned out a couple decent games.

My opinion to a tee.

It's not even that, it's that the veterans are playing down to the level of Boro/Wier/Benoit.

They're supposed to be propping up this patchwork defense, instead a few of them are doing no better than the callups.

Hell, I was most confident in Boro tonight.

Phillips isn't the weakest link, you need to realize every goal scored isn't the result of a Dman making a mistake.

Take a look back at what he really did. It's probably not as good as you think you remember.

You have a winning combo and you make unnecessary lineup changes especially on D. That rarely works out. Many said that this was the wrong game to showcase Bishop. It would have been better in the first game when the team is fresher. It's surprising that Stache rested Anderson so early in the season. IMO Stache played against the odds.

Too bad but it's pretty obvious the best goalie tandem would be Anderson / Lehner and now at least in the short term, Bishop's trade value has gone down the toilet.

I agree... but this game was also a tester to see about our current NHL depth. There were some flaws shown.

He needs to get up here at some point and get some real games under his belt, but I don't think it's fair to wait just to toss him to the wolves.
We didn't need the game stolen. We were up by 2 goals...twice. Remember?

Even average goaltending gets us a win.

.833 save % doesn't cut it.

Borowiecki played 12:17 tonight. Let's not get too crazy here. Its not too difficult to look great vs BJ Crombeem, Adam Hall and Tom Pyatt as opposed to Phillips and Gonchar's 21+ minute night vs Stamkos, Lecavelier and St. Louis. We need another top 4 D. Phillips would look really good playing 18 minutes or so on that 3rd pair and 1st PK.

Seems like some of you are relishing the fact that Bishop had a bad game. You do realize it's in the best interests of the TEAM that he plays well so the TEAM can trade him for something of value, right?

It's like your all offended that he's denied your man-crush Lehner his rightful spot wearing a ball cap on the bench...

Relax, Bishop isn't in the long term plans of this team. We need him to find his game (he's not this bad) so we can get value for him.

More like a maintenance day, but why is it so hard to believe? Lot's of players are already injured.

I blame this loss on the coach as you don't play Bishop against a team that has Stamkos, Malone, Lecavalier, St.Louis and Hedman. Andy is riding a hot streak and they put Bishop in, I realize that they want to showcase him but his value just dropped after this game. This was 2 points lost that could come back to bite them down the road as we should have had a point and if Andy was in I think we win this game.
This was a reality check as the Sens are not that good against teams that can forecheck and our aging D is showing in Philips & Gonchar
Probably a good thing as they now realize that you can't win with playing Benoit & Boro together. When does Lundin come back?
