Personally, I hope this is true because after watching hours of college football every Saturday I rank him as the 5th best QB in this draft. Who knows though, there will be tons of fallout over the next few months.

Great news.

I don't think Nassib is an NFL caliber QB. He has no touch on his passes. He's constantly over shooting receivers and drilling guys that are 5 yards away from him. He's also fidgety and excitable in the pocket.

I read awhile back that the Bills are high on Glennon. Which is a good thing IMO.

I have no idea what to think of the QBs this year. There are people who absolutely love Glennon, and there are ones that absolutely hate him...there doesn't seem to be a middle ground. Same with Wilson too.

Yeah I've noticed that too. For instance, most reports have Glennon/Wilson impressing the most in Senior Bowl practice, but I just came across a report ripping Glennon.

That's why I ignore most pundits. If you want to know about the QB's you gotta watch the film. And there's a big difference between how a guy looks in practice, and how looks in a game. Having watched all the QB's, Glennon and Barkley are clearly the best IMO. I'm not sure of the status of Barkley's injury though.

Tyler Wilson will be the best QB of this draft.

1. Wilson
2. Smith
3. Barkley
4. Glennon
5. Nassib
6. Manuel

This is my list as well except I have Barkley and Glennon flipped. I've been a huge Wilson fan for 2 years and despite how terrible Arkansas' record was, he did nothing on the field to deter me.

Agreed, he's the best guy IMO. If Geno Smith goes first we might have good shot of getting him at 8. High for his draft grade, but he won't he there at 40 IMO.

Wilson has been getting a lot of hype lately. He looks polished, is good in practice by all accounts, gives great interviews and has above average athleticism for a standard drop back pocket passer.

The problem is, he's really only good in the short passing game. Beyond that he gets shotty. Wilson is the main reason why Arkansas' offense was so limited.

I think:

1. Glennon
1. Barkley
3. Smith
4. Nassib
5. Manuel
6. Jones / Wilson

Just shows with all of your opinions so different that scouts are the same way. Everyone sees things differently.

Manuel had the best Senior Bowl today. Glennon, Wilson and Nassib all pretty lousy. They all struggled with accuracy. Wilson woefully under threw an open deep ball. Nassib threw a bad pick into triple coverage. I don't particularly like any of these prospects.

Absolutely agreed. I have been for waiting to pick a QB this year until at least the second. Then I was talked into taking a QB at 8. Now, as more comes out about each candidate from the "all-star" game circuit. I think the franchise is much better off getting a player worthy of a top 10 pick at 8 and picking from the remaining QBs in the second or even third round. I know everyone wants a franchise QB but maybe there isn't one in this draft or the player will have to develop into one.

Besides, if you take someone in the first round and fail its unlikely you take one so early next year. Fail on a second or third round pick and people would understand picking a new guy next year. And if you score on a few players in this years draft and free agency, we can trade up to get the real franchise QB in 2014.

Problem is, every team that needs a QB is probably thinking that, and all those teams pick before us in the 2nd round.

I think Smith, Barkley, Wilson, Glennon and possibly Nassib are all going to be gone when the Bills picks at #41.

Round 2 Draft Order:
Jacksonville (2-14)
Kansas City (2-14)
Philadelphia (4-12)

Detroit (4-12)
Cincinnati - from Oakland (4-12)
Arizona (5-11)
Cleveland (5-11)
New York Jets (6-10)
Tennessee (6-10)
Buffalo (6-10)

All those teams in bold might pick QB's.

I'm of the opinion that Kevin Kolb is still a good QB. He had NO line when he was healthy and I'm inclined to believe he was never healthy with Arizona because of that line. If Arizona cuts him I would consider him, Alex Smith, and Matt Moore to be great transition QB's for Nassib if we can get him in the second round. Wilson isn't dropping to us. He has too much raw potential for a draft where teams are QB needy to make it to us.

Then you get a stopgap and hope you can find someone next year.

We shouldn't take a QB for the sake of taking a QB, it has to be the "right" guy. And right now, none of those look quite like the "right" guy.

Besides, you can always trade up a few picks if need be. I could easily see the Lions trading down for more picks since they could use it.

I'm thinking the same, but that could make this years draft very easy to anticipate and take advantage of. It shouldn't be that expensive move up about 10 spots so that we can get our pick of the litter. San Francisco would probably accept our second and third for their first and third unless someone absolutely ridiculous fell to them there. This way we can still get a freak athlete wide receiver or linebacker with the 8 pick as well.

Agreed. We don't have to take a QB as high as 8, but we shouldn't wait until pick # 41 when ~5 QBs are already off the board. Either move down from 8, or up from 41 to get your guy.

If you don't have a guy, don't take one. A second round pick could land a good player that they do like at another position of need. The Bills already have a stopgap QB signed in Fitzpatrick.

You guys have got to be kidding. If you like those 3, we might as well go after Matt Cassel and Mark Sanchez aswell.

Don't expect Detroit to trade back in the first round. Mayhew generally doesn't do that. I've been a Lions fan since the Billy Sims days. They NEED the player they pick at five.

Moore is the best UFA QB available IMO. And the point is to upgrade Fitzpatrick. Moore is better than Fitzpatrick (at practically every aspect of the position) and most likely better than any of these QB prospects during their rookie season. Not that Moore is a long-term solution, but he's a bridge to a better draft class and wouldn't cost a pick to acquire.

Right now, I want Milliner, Ansah or Fisher at #8. Bills can't afford to reach.

In sort of a meh draft year, I'd say the Bills best option is to move down. Grab an extra second and later round picks, move down in the first and stockpile warm bodies. If there's still a good option at QB available at their move down spot, grab him and fill other areas in the second round.
