All I can say is that I really hope we resign PK. He is one of my favorite players, loves the Habs, and gives it all on the ice. Whatever the contract process, I really hope it doesn't end up in a trade. I doubt we'd get fair value, and it will be another tragic trade in retrospect ... I am sure of this. Sign PK, but drive a hard bargain, that would be my approach. If he sits out for another 10 games, so be it. This season is a wash, anyway.

Solution:
Get a temporary GM to sign Subban to a fair deal and everyone is happy.
Habs owner politely shoves Bergevin aside...only for the Subban deal...and finds someone else to negotiate the Subban deal.
Bergevin comes back grumbling/pouting but still has his job.

Aislin (from The Gazette) should draw a Bergevin being pulled by the ear (by Mr.Molson) and Subban's ear being pulled by Mr.Subban...Molson and Mr.Subban drag them to force them to come to an agreement!

p.s.: if I'm a season ticket holder I'm suing someone!
(first...all the missed games - no refund - due to the lockout...and now no entertaining Subban when you go to the Molson center).

This is what will happen in my opinion,

Subban will mull his options over this weekend, he'll either A) settle on the short term deal or B) get traded. if he goes with A) then he'll likely get 3-3.5 mil for two years. If he decides he wants longer term, he's going to get traded

The Most likely location is philly, and most likely return is courturier plus a 2nd

If Subban is resigned

Patches-Desh-Cole
Gionta-Plek-Bourque
Gallagher-Galchenyuk-Prust
White-Moen-Armstrong

Subban-Markov
Emelin-Gorges
Diaz-Bouillion

If Subban is Traded

Patches-Desh-Cole
Gionta-Plek-Bourque
Gallagher-Couturier-prust
White-Moen Armstrong

(send gally back to junior)

Markov-Gorges
Emelin-Diaz
Bouillion-Kabarle

Personally I prefer having him here, but if we do trade him I want a big potential top 2 center to go with Galchenyuk.

I know it seems silly but two/three years down the road rolling with Gally and Couts up the middle could be a dominating thing.

Anything to get a deal done.

No.

Never. If I were Bergevin and that happens, I'd resign. You hire me to be the team's GM, and (allegedly) you told me you will not interfere in how I practice my duties.

Why even bother adressing his post? Hire a GM to sign Subban? Sue the team for not signing him?

I shouldn't, but I love seeing this...

Rich Man's Eller for sure. We could get great prospects and picks for DD, Plek or Eller.

Now we need a highlight reel of Subban
(it'll remind some of us that we've never had such a talented dman like Subban...imo a future Norris winner or candidate, Cup winner, playoffs MVP winner or candidate).

McDonagh...gone
Subban...gone

Subban better not get traded (unless we get the Isles or Columbus's 1st rnd picks for the next 5-6 years!! just kidding!).

What could have been:
McDonagh-Subban
Gorges-Markov

Soon:
gorges and markov

Look. All things considered, I'd rather we keep Subban, for sure.

But, again, CONSIDERING both him and Management stick to their horses and CANNOT come to an agreement.. What do you think? What should we get for him? Who could we trade in exchange?

Agreed that Couturier alone isn't worth Subban, just based on need. But he still one mighty piece of meat that would look great in our future lineup.

Don't worry.

A logical, non-hysterical business reasoning.

Couturier is 3 years younger than Mr. Showtime aka Subbie-doo.

Some people forget.. Couturier was only drafted in 2011..

There is tons of room for growth there in terms of potential and ceiling.

Could easily become our future #1 C

Damn it...none of us are agreeing on anything!
Bergevin not signing Subban
Subban not signing.

No temporary GM...(forgot sarcasm icon!).

Running out of ideas!

Only way id even consider trading SUbban is for a deal involving MAlkin from the PEns....

Is this the only legit or semi-legit rumor? (Couturier+2nd for Subban).

Pleks, Galchenyuk, Couturier, Eller, DD, Leblanc (winger/center)...we will have plenty of centers!! I'll miss Subban but not the cocky/arrogant side, but still...will really miss his style/skating/D game/Offensive game,etc... I really hope this rumor (above) is not true.

Subban was born in Toronto but grew up as a hardcore Hab fan...it's perfect!!

Sign Subban soon.
Subban, Price, Gorges...will all lead us to the Cup sooner than later.
Subban is a winner...not a slacker...he's obsessed with training 'cause he wants to be the best. Sign him already.

Sigh.

There are no legit rumours. Two flyers writers confirmed the flyers are not interested in subban, they will not tender an offer sheet, they have not contacted the Hans about a trade and they will not trade couturier.

This is just some delusional idea that somebody came up with, just like 90% of **** in this thread.

Lol, I don't know.. AFAIK, I'm the first one who said this proposal before in this thread, and then it came up again and again..

There's probably not much legitimacy to it, if any, so don't worry too much.

Lol ,agree...

Subban will sign with habs......

If he is ever to be traded, number 71 in Pittsburgh Malkin, that is the type of guy that needs to be coming back in a blockbuster deal...a true impact player, not some draft pick or prospect....

If Subban is traded. I doubt we end up with Couturier. Philly refused to include him when chasing Weber. More likely it would be the Schenn brothers, who, while good players, are not worth Subban.
