Total trap game. I expect the Hawks to come out flat after a day off as they congratulate themselves on a 3-0 start and head into Columbus expecting an easy win against the meager Blue Jackets. Columbus should come out with a lot of energy playing a Central Division foe and one of the top teams in the conference. Think the Hawks should still pull out the win though cuz Columbus is pretty bad.

This is one of those games that I feel like everything adds up for a loss: 4-0 start, everything seems to be going well, our back-up is playing, Cbus is not that great of a team...

Hope I'm wrong, but I could see us looking past this game.

Detroit has a ton of injuries now and had some of their best players retire this year. I think at home, that game we are still a favorite even with Emery starting.

Gonna be tougher for Hawks then in years past

Jackets dumped Nash who's effort always was questionable and picked up some quality two way 2nd/3rd liners in Dubinsky/Anisimov/Foligno

Alot of speed in there lineup and depth comnpared to past meetings

Also the upgraded in net with Bobrovsky

Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't think they're a very good team. But I don't want to see Datsyuk or Zetterberg getting an opportunity to play a game against Ray Emery.

Mason for Columbus tonight, per Daily Faceoff.

I don't mind going CC tonight and Emery tomorrow if that is the case. Emery was money at home last year, and if he doesn't start tomorrow he wouldn't get any home starts the first month. And there's no excuse to lose to Detroit even with him in, that team isn't very good and the Hawks should be able to bury them off the rush.
