I really hope that PK signs and these baseless trade rumours stop.
I haven't heard a single trade that would be a slam dunk to trade PK. Couturier? Maybe I'm not as familiar with him as others on this board are, but from what I have seen of him, he's nowhere near as good or as useful to the Habs as PK is or even was at the same age. He's big, but he's skinny and far from being a bruising centre that we would need.
Unless a team is willing to give up something earth shattering and we make out like bandits, I don't see a trade as even being a thought in Bergevins mind. Guys like PK don't come along very often and his personality is built for a tight pressure market. PK should be a Hab for life.
Subbie-doo would look good in a Bruins jersey.. honestly though.
And he would fit in very well with his cocky/arrogant ways.
Plus he could join his brother.

The fan base will remain what it is if we trade Subban or not. Subban is not the Montreal Canadiens, no individual player will ever be. We might have ups and downs where they sell less tickets or merchandise, but eventually the fans will come back. 340+ straight sellouts with a crappy team for most of the last 20 years and you think trading Subban will cause problems with the fan base? hahahahaha
Did I mention the team management? I am talking about the fan base. the fan base has zero to do with how many cups we have won.

If that is the deal, I can see why Subban is taking his time before making a decision.
As long as we get a young, puck moving d-man back in the deal, with high end offensive skill, really good defensive play, that hits, skates like the wind and can develop with our core, I'll be happy with a trade...
