Only good thing is that that contract is really only for 18 calendar months and if he does well the rest of this season and beginning of next season they will be negotiating a long term extension only about a year from now.

Habs' only intention right now is to sign Subban, and not trade him. Things can change obviously, but I believe that's Mtl's position now..

Theres no real incentive for MB to move on his $ offer until PK moves from long term to short term deal. If PK is willing to go short im sure those numbers change

Habs should look real good once they add Subbie-doo into the lineup and bench that useless Mr. Kaberle.

I expect Subban signed on or before 29 of jan...

Habs need to trade away a dman ,one who is in the line up.

Maybe we can get Subban on a month-to-month payment plan.

This Subban situation is a brewing disaster for Montreal. These types of players are very difficult to deal for equal value.

You won't trade away a Markov, Gorges, Emelin or Diaz, and Bouillon and Kaberle will not get anything of worth. They'll have to make room by moving Weber out and sticking Kaberle in Weber's press box seat.

Ludicrous.
Not that ludicrous.

-I've yet to see an actual quote of Bergevin saying that. So far I think it's only people relaying second hand conversations.

-People can change their minds.

-If Subban ends up requesting a trade, what will Bergevin do ? Just keep him as a hold out forever?

-You hear GMs say : I am not firing the coach ! or I'm not trading that guy ! And what happens the next day ? It often is just posturing.

Well,we agree a roster dman needs to go.
Great thing to sit 4..25 cap in pressbox eh..lol
I think habs can deal him,if they want.

Someone wil take him with prorated salary for this year..then only one year of full salary for 13/14...then his contract is done.

Little or no progress made in PK Subban contract negotiations. Habs firm on 2 year deal, roughly $5 mil total. Offer sheet? Trade? Options.

No wonder he hasn't signed yet. What a joke.

Bergevin needs to give his head a shake.

I'm ready to be disappointed. The last GM regime prepared me well.
