Be aware though that 60fps is going to look like crap if it's in SD. The cable company I have doesn't show any CI games in HD at this point that I'm aware of.
Center Ice is 60 Frames Per Second. Game Center is 30 Frames Per Second. For $49.99 I pick Center Ice. Especially if you have an HD PVR/DVR.
True, 60 fps interlaced vs 30 fps progressive but we only get one game in HD here, the rest are in SD. Quality is good online across the board from what I can tell.
I had GameCenter last year and when I called in October they said to do nothing until I got an e-mail from them.
Well I just got an email - from my BANK

I'm not 100% sure on that. Last season the PS3 app looked as smooth as a regular HD signal, while the PC player was running at a notably lower fps. Of course no chance to test it this season yet since the PS3 app is still not out...
First weekend was a mess but since then things have turned around for me. PC is amazing, watching four games at once over wifi is insane. I feel like a scout or something. Quality isn't anything to brag about at all but for 4 games at once I'll take it.
xbox app seems rad, still haven't watched a 'live' game on it yet but the replay games are really cool and quality is above what I was expecting. 30fps vs 60fps, whatever, 99% of the movies you see in a theater are 24fps.
Quality's excellent on the 360, but I keep getting disconnected from LIVE every 10 minutes or so. Hard to HD Capture games that way. It's probably my internet, but the quality is even better on my PC, doesn't drop and they're both using the same WiFi connection.
Wish I could just let the whole game replay load before starting to watch.

As you've said dafoomie, you have to watch out for the lack of HD feeds. Depending on your cable / satellite provider, they may not have the games in HD. I know with Cogeco (Ontario) I haven't really seen an HD feed yet.
I also like that I can select the home or away broadcast for GCL.
I'm back on Gamecenter after not using it last year. I wish they would fix the android app so I don't have to log in every time I open it. The picture quality on it is fantastic though.

Rogers has had 100% HD so far. They even had Both the Home and Away feed in HD for the Bruins - Jets game. Last season they had about 95% of the games available in HD.

Rogers is a Canadian company so not surprising. I know here in the U.S we're lucky to even get CI in SD.

Thanks for that info! I travel a fair bit and one thing that peeves me is how GameCentre blacks out if it is nationally televised (like last game against Rangers). Tell me, what hotel carries NBC Sports in their rooms? In most bars it's out of the question to put on a hockey game instead of basketball/football, high school, college, pro or otherwise.
I tried another site I used to use a lot but the popups drove me crazy.
If anybody ever hears of free sample CI on Charter central Mass, can you shoot me a PM?
I don't want to buy unless I see pic quality first. I can't watch if its not in HD anymore. I'm spoiled.
