Awesome gdt. That December 20, 1997 game was my first ever hockey game I attended. Really the only thing I remember is that they won and lindros scored and beat the hell out of
Neids at the end. Man he was such a monster... Anyway let's get the same result today, shutout would be nice.

Would rather see McGinn tonight than Knuble.

McGinn was actually quite good against NYR.

But they signed Knuble to play him, so they may as well see what he's got sooner rather than later, imo.

These are somewhat updated Panthers' lines with Tomas Fleischmann and Versteeg's statuses not definitive. Also, Weiss is unlikely to be playing tonight. First post has been updated.

Left WingCenterRight Wing
Jonathan HuberdeauTomas KopeckyAlex Kovalev
Scottie Upshall Shawn Matthias Peter Mueller
Quinton Howden Drew Shore Jack Skille
Mike Santorelli Jerred Smithson George Parros

Jose Theodore appears to be starting.

I agree he shouldn't be playing without practicing with the team.

he was in camp with Detroit and played at least one AHL game for them. He'll be fine.

Going to miss this one. Hope to come home to a solid result with NO injuries from the Flyers!

Let's go Flyers!

That is one ugly looking lineup, but the guy with the porn stache makes it sexy

^ There's a chance Versteeg and/or Fleischmann could play, too.

Schenn, Fed and Knuble look like a line

Rinaldo, Briere and Knuble on ice at skate. Knuble wearing No. 9.

Knuble wearing numer 9? I knew I liked him!

And there's a possibility that Danny might play tonight?

Bryzgalov is starting.

Briere is likely to be scratched again. Tomorrow is still up-in-the-air.

The latest with Florida's lines:

http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/f...,5413814.story

Quote:
The juggling of the Panthers lines continued at Saturday morning’s skate in preparation for tonight’s game against the Flyers, another 1-3 injury-ravaged team.

Top-line center Stephen Weiss didn’t skate and is out tonight with a lower-body injury that judging from his play thus far I’d be willing to bet has been bothering him since the season-opener. The good news is that top-line forwards Kris Versteeg (groin) and Tomas Fleischmann (cut foot) both skated.

Flash came out early in his sweats and tried to skate and then left the ice. He consulted with the trainer and eventually returned but didn’t take part in team drills. He will be a game-time decision but he’s likely to play. Versteeg, who bagged skated after the morning session, also didn’t skate on any lines and coach Kevin Dineen said he will not play no matter how much Versteeg’s “heart’’ tells him he wants to.

Rookie forward Quinton Howden may or not make his NHL debut tonight possibly depending on Flash’s status. He skated with San Antonio teammate, center Drew Shore and Jack Skille. He’s probably going to be the fourth Panther to make his NHL debut in just the fifth game, joining Jonathan Huberdeau, Michael Caruso and Drew Shore. Alex Kovalev skated with Huberdeau and Tomas Kopecky. Shawn Matthias centered Scottie Upshall and Peter Mueller moved to wing. Jerred Smithson centered Mike Santorelli and George Parros.

It’s possible that Fleischmann plays and Santorelli will sit instead of Howden.

Knuble spent a bit in the AHL I believe so I don't think he's that out of shape.

If I were coach

Simmonds-Giroux-Read (might change up with Voracek during game)
Schenn-Couturier-Voracek (might change up with Read during game)
Talbot-Laughton-Knuble
Shelley-Wellwood-Fedotenko

I like Shelley, and he'd dance with Parros.

Sestito over Shelley otherwise I'd agree. Shelley played well but sestito was still better than him.

I would have but I wanted to see a heavyweight fight tonight and I didn't want another phantom interference minor. Sestito scares me a little and I think he plays better when both he and Shelley are in as a 1-2 punch, but obviously there's no need for more than 1 (or less than 1 imo) tough guy tonight.

Probably means Rinaldo is close to being activated.
