It's been ages since the trade, so I forget if it made sense at the time; but when your team just struggled defensively because your forwards generally have no idea what to do in their own end, why do you trade your best defensive forward?

I know he scored 2 goals and the media eats that up but in all honesty both goals were pretty soft on Pavelec's part.

"@DarrenDreger: Little or no progress made in PK Subban contract negotiations. Habs firm on 2 year deal, roughly $5 mil total. Offer sheet? Trade? Options."

Are the Habs trying to piss him off with that offer?

Yeah for once I'm siding with the player here. That's an extremely low ball offer for someone of subbans talent. 4 mil minimum a year is what he should get.. habs deserve to lose him.

Habs fans would tell you that they are offering a good deal for subban for both sides.

Which is kind of funny, considering how a lot of them see him as an Elite level player already and say they'd turn down almost every proposal any other team's fan makes.

It's the same deal Kulikov and Del Zotto got. Not really that much of a piss off

He was a UFA at the end of this year, and I assume he told the Pens he wanted to play with his brother. THey still got Sutter back who is great defensively

I wonder if he will get (and sign) an offer sheet from someone.

I think Subban is a ****** but if that is seriously the offer then he has every right to be pissed.

Landeskog just got rocked by Brad Staurt. What a clean hit, and of course there was a fight. Landy left the game.

Definite head shot though I thought. Going by Schenn BS suspension, I would guess 3 games if Shanny wants to be consistent.

Why did O'Byrne get two instigator penalties?

2.5 mil over two years for Subban? Da hell? I hate Subban but considering how important he is to Montreal (the team and the fans) and his talent I would guess he would get four to five mil each year, not five mil over both.

At this point you think Montreal doesn't want to keep him. That's lowball offer and with Markov healthy they could put a pretty nice team out there with Subban.

Thanks, I haven't heard about that rule before but it makes sense.

Definite launch and targeting the head. Probably won't even get a call from the league. Shanahan's inconsistency will remain consistent, I guess.
