No 48-hour blackouts here (your neighbouring country), even blacked-out games are promptly available in full-length replays: within a couple of hours, or sometimes within minutes (!) from game completion.
Also, on a traditional computer/laptop, you can easily avoid a blackout with a touch of a button (Stealthy plugin for Firefox/Chrome).
Woop, Stealthy's working, can watch the Detroit Minny game which was blacked out now. Screw you NOVA Sports.
GCL still isn't working for me. I've now been waiting 6 days to hear from GCL Support why it isn't working, I've sent 3 emails and all they have managed to do is copy and paste some sections of their FAQs page into an email to me. Information which didn't help in the slightest.
This coming after I emailed them before the season started and they said everything would be okay with my account and it was good to go for the season.
In case anyone from GCL Support reads this (which seems more likely than them checking their email and actually trying to help) - you f***ing suck
terrible for me atm. looks great and then suddenly buffers for 40 seconds and the game jumps that much along, missing action. terrible. ive got a solid 80mb connection and i'm a few ft from the router. come on NHL.
Don't think they bother checking your IP log. And even if they 'caught' me using it, what are they gonna do? It's their fault they black out games in freaking Europe. I'd much rather not use any additional utility to get around their black out policy, but they give me no other choice.
the XBL app is really quite terrible. scores dont update, doesnt remember which feed youre on when you switch, the aspect ratio of split screen is LOL, constant buffering is weak. ugh. would really rather watch it via a console to save wasting laptop.
So the Xbox live app is having problems despite great connections? It runs fine streaming through my computer but buffers all the time through the app. Just making sure other people are having these same issues.
