EJ Manuel was the only one who did anything to improve his standing. QB's always go higher than they're projected to, so he'll be a Day 2 pick. Especially since people will think he can be another Russell Wilson.
Saints had a meeting with Tyler Wilson, but he won't be necessary. They can wait another year to find Brees' heir apparent. Honestly I'd draft Denard Robinson for the Saints before a QB (excluding Glennon and those not at the game), and they don't even use a Wildcat.
Some of Mayock's ranking's are pretty surprising to me. Werner ahead of Moore and Floyd ahead of Star are kind of surprising but having Mingo behind Greene and even Jordan really surprises me. Banks behind Rhodes at CB and Barrett Jones being the 3rd ranked C are the other rankings I was surprised to see. Mayock always has a couple/few guys ranked differently than most others do though.
Floyd over Star surprised me the most. On NFLN they were saying Floyd's stock has really risen and he should be a top 10 pick. Could go very high if he has a great combine but I haven't seen anyone else rank him above Star.
I think Floyd's stock is rising because everyone is seeing his film from this year when he's playing inside as opposed to last year when he played a lot of end. A 3-4 team drafting him will get a pretty good player but he'll be much better in a 4-3.
Ogletree wouldn't have been on the Steelers radar anyway due to scheme but I have a feeling they will be dropping anyone off their board who has character concerns this year. Between Taamu and Rainey it was a rough year for their draft off the field. Expect a squeaky clean draft class this time around.
As for Mayock's rankings, nothing too crazy yet. The QB draft rankings are just so funny this year, I've never seen such variations.
