You really can't blame the goalie in that situation, you blame the skaters.

And he stopped a breakaway earlier this game.

SCHENN!!!!

WTF is with the last 2 minutes of this period?

Interesting note:

Sean Couturier and Scott Laughton are the Flyers' first-round draft picks from consecutive seasons to play in their season openers since Behn Wilson and Danny Lucas in 1978-79 and Brian Propp in 1979-80.

It's really hard to ever blame a goalie for a breakaway goal.

LUKE SCHENN, GORD, THE HUMAN ERASER

Some of the best goals are the ones scored before the PA announcer can announce the home team's goal. You just got scored on, but you're still supposed to be excited somehow.

Bryz really deserved better than that breakaway though.

My GameCenter is so far behind. I find out about the goals before I see them!

Oh, I'm definitely not blaming Bryz in that situation. Just stating he needs to work on his breakaways/shootouts. It was totally the defenses fault there.

Considering a shooter's shooting percentage jumps up to 33% on a breakaway, yeah.

Boy, I am extremely EXTREMELY pleased with Luke Schenn. His passing and his shot were underrated. Way better than what we were led to initially believe from Leafs fans.
