I was in the hospital for 5 days after my Emergency Appendectomy, but then again I'm not a professional athlete in great shape and they screwed up my surgery.

I hope he has better luck than I did since it was months before I healed up.

For what it's worth a player on my favourite European soccer club (Fiorentina) had an appendectomy during training camp..I believe he missed about 3 weeks and then while he was playing he needed another week or so to get his stamina back to full game level....

And here it starts...took a long time since we had our first "injury" or bad luck....

Time for others to shine.

There was a Peritonitis along with the appendicite right? Happen when the appendicte "explode".

It's good that Paccioretty one was detect kind of fast, so there is no infection potential.

I wait 3 days at home myself when i got mine because the emergency line (is it 811, dont remember) told me it was most certainly a gastro or something). I went to see the doctor on the 3rd day, at that point i could barely walk (plié en 2 comme on dit). The doctor literally called me an idiot for waiting and told me to go to the hospital asap. The Surgeon (is that the right term?) told me he had never saw an appendice that big without this mess to turn into a peritonitis. I lucked it out i guess

He was playing somewhat cautious. I guess this explains it.

Emergency appendectomie - thank god they got it in time.
if my girlfriend was suddenly vomiting a lot, the flu would not be the first thing I would be worried about

Really?

I agree with Erik, I thought Pacioretty was the only one on that line hustling in the first two games. Cole has the historic slow start. Desharnais looked a little better against Washington and made that nice screen on Gorges goal but really they have not looked good

That's really no longer the 'first' line. Semantics, I know.

That sucks! But no need to change other lines though.

Just put Eller with DD and Cole? I think so.

17 14 21
81 51 72
8 27 73
32 53 20

It guess Galchenyuk will spend the rest of the season in Montréal. Good thing we have depth. Come on Eller, seize the day !

Sounds good. Scratch our captain against his former team.

From what I have seen so far that 1st line wasn't even a factor yet, and Pacioretty was having a slow start. Our 2nd and 3rd line have been good as has the rest of the club (defense + goaltending) so I wouldn't worry much. It's too bad Pac won't be able to get it going because of his injury, but if we keep playing the way we've been, we still have a shot at the playoffs.

I see

Bourque Plekanec Gionta
Galchenyuk Desharnais Cole
Prust Eller Gallagher

all I know it's nice to have depth.

Oh our star power forward just got injured? That's okay we'll just put in the guy who was drafted 13 spots ahead of him. hahaha.

I'm confident that either one of DD or Eller will be able to transition to the wing. Eller never really looked great there but he never really had time to adapt either. I thought he looked better on the wing in his 2nd year than his first.

If that first line can start clicking without Patches we might really have something here.

Patches out? Wow

I would try Galchenyuk at center instead of Eller on the wing.

Desharnais-Galchenyuk-Cole
Bourque-Plekanec-Gionta
Prust-Eller-Gallagher
Moen-White-Armstrong
