In a keeper league, who do you pick ahead of J.Schultz for D?

Weber
Ekman-Larsson
Doughty
Pietrangelo
Letang
Keith

Who else?

Ya, Schultz heavily out scored McDonagh in Wisconson. Like more than doubled his point production.

There's alot of safer picks you could make, Byfuglien, Campbell, Chara, even guys like Subban, Shattenkirk, and Yandle.

Schulz will get lots of PP time and will put up better offensive numbers than many offensive d-men, certainly more than the defence-first guy like mcDonaugh--which is basically what the keeper league is about. In the real game, there are plenty of d-men I would take over Schultz at this point.

The more I watch him play it amazes me that the Oilers got Justin Schultz. He is the perfect defenseman for the future of the Edmonton Oilers.

He has been getting tons of chances with his wrister. Its really a fantastic sign that in his first few games its clear he'll be a prolific shooter. Just hope he can start slipping them past NHL goalies who seem far, far more ready for his shot than anyone in the AHL.

After tonight's game, guess who's leading the NHL in defense scoring? http://www.nhl.com/ice/playerstats.h...=nav-sts-indiv

also +1 on a team that has struggled to score ES, while playing upwards of 24 minutes a night.

In our keeper league, Schultz went in the 1st round, 11th overall...right behind Karlsson. (Doughty, Keith, Weber, Boyle all were protected.)

I agree. He is getting it done at both ends of the ice.

He reminds me of a defenseman version of RNH. He just seems to think the game at another level higher than everyone else. And he has immense skill.

I haven't heard anything about it, he's still listed as having 2 assists tonight according to NHL.com and my ESPN keeper league.

I feel he needs to add some strength/defensive-ability before we can start calling him our franchise #1.

He's basically Erik Karlsson right now, or tracking to be that way. I just don't see the defensive stalworth in him that could make him the guy we match up versus the opposition's top lines every game. Maybe he just needs to add some weight...

Yeah I don't think Hall's going to get an A on that Gagner goal. He swiped at the puck but there was no actual contact I don't think.

They changed it to him and RNH as assists.

Hall swatted the puck out to gagner, I don't think it would have bounced that direction just off the flamer in front

Still leading the AHL in defense scoring by 4 goals and thirteen points too.
Simultaneously leading two leagues in scoring.

Eberle and Schultz are still one and two in overall AHL scoring.

The NHL site still has it listed as Gagner from RNH & J. Schultz

No, no, no. Karlsson can only be compared to Bobby Orr and Jesus. Have you not been paying attention to every Sens fan on here for the last two years???
