Right on, it's a hell of an experience. And we seem to have exciting games against the Bruins.

I made it through 2 minutes of Don Cherry's mindless stupid drivel before changing the channel...guy is the biggest embarrasment to the NHL I've ever seen, complete moron.

I like him. He's a personality, rarely do I agree with him, but I like him all the same.

Agree. He's entertainment. Most of his hockey opinions are goofy and narrow-minded, but he still makes some decent points now and then.

The last time he said something relevant or correct I am pretty sure nobody had ever heard of the name Wayne Gretzky...

This kitten is narcoleptic. She runs around like a madman and then falls down and sleeps for a while.

Don Cherry is great. Although I didn't agree with his opinion on Yakupov or after goal celebrations in general.

Don Cherry is great. He came and spoke with a bunch of us when we were shooting the Don Cherry Story. Spent so long with us the Director had to politely ask us to get back to shooting.

Don't let his on air persona fool you. Heart of gold, soft spoken man.

Oilers are too small up front to make the playoffs this year. They could trade Hall and Gagner, get some size up front, a top 4 D and really be a threat.

As they are now? I just don't see it. They get manhandled. Come to think of it, they could trade Hemsky as well and get a nice piece. As it stands now, they have terrible balance.

Just played in my leagues All Star game. Scored on my own net and my knee came right out of its socket. FML.

It's not the first time unfortunately. It's not swelling up much which is great news. Need to get one of those tensor knee stabilizers and see how it feels.

Gotta tell you though, all you wanna do is puke when it happens.

Thanks... swollen up like a balloon today. Just sucks -- you never want to get hurt in a meaningless game.

Honestly, if I had hair I'd be pulling it out right now. Playing Hitman: Absolution. Extremely challenging game. Been on the same level for hours now.

The game freezes and crashes for me whenever I have to use the buttons to sneak around. I'd love to play more of it.

Hey Everyone,

I am new to the Winnipeg area and a bit of a newbie when it comes to knowing which media members (especially those who cover the jets!!) to take seriously, and which to disregard. I came from the Toronto area, so I know very well how incompetent some reporters can be when it comes to the NHL. I did not think this was worthy of a new thread but would appreciate all your insights. Thanks!

P.S- I have already found Gary Lawless to be almost unbearable

You're already pretty much on top of things! Most of the media in Winnipeg are pretty decent - Lawless is more about opinion than reporting. One thing to note about him though - he does seem to have some reasonable connections.
