Yeah I don't think the Leafs are as terrible as Columbus or NYI.

I think the Flames will be better than the Leafs simply because they have relatively stable goaltending.

We're pretty much headed toward a top 5 pick barring a miracle, which is deflating because I really had high hopes for the season but with Lupul gone for an extended time and this team being unable to defend their leads, it's not going to get any easier.

It's already tough to win in the NHL, losing when you take the lead and take the crowd out of it is an absolute back breaker.

Columbus will be tough to overtake in any race to the bottom

I think the 3rd pick in the draft will be the best player from this draft: Drouin.

Mackinnon/Jones are almost locks to go top 2.

MacKinnon
Jones
Barkov
Drouin
Lindholm
Monahan

I kind of hope we somehow land Barkov. That kid is going to be something special.

Top 6 is the place to be in this draft, after that, there are some great players who will go on to have great NHL careers but none that can be compared to this tier as prospects.

Jones, Mac, Drouin, Nichuskin, Monahan, wouldn't be upset if we landed any of these players. Top 5 pick, we will do very well.

Top 10 is not good enough.

Toronto needs #1 or #2 overall.

This team needs its Crosby, Stamkos or Tavares!

^^Yes. Should have started with Seguin but I'm not gonna whine about. Do a PROPER rebuild. Goalie, Centre and a #1 D-Man, either through draft or trade... and you'll see this team improve. I really like Monahan though.

The Oilers have crazy talent but need vets and a goalie. All In all, they've done the right thing going forward.

Is it time to consider blowing it up again?

This 5-year rebuild is starting to look like a 10 year re-build.

The Leafs won't compete until we get a goaltender.

Reimer and Scrivens can't over-achieve every game.

They can't handle the load.

Knowing the Leafs luck, they finish between 1st and 3rd worst record and with the new CBA pick 14th.

This draft is so talented, if you don't get a Top 7 pick and one of the current projected centers
You lose, big-time!

If the season continues to project like it is...Nonis needs to seriously consider getting rid of assets like MacArthur and Kulemin.

Open up these slots for more Marlies, at this point they could protect leads and compete just like this current lineup.

what?

The only thing they changed was that whoever wins the lottery gets 1st overall, instead of being limited to moving up four spots. If we finished 1st-3rd last the worst pick we could get would be 4th.

Yup. ADD pieces. Major Pieces like Getzlaf and a D-man. Draft is really deep... no excuses for Nonis/management.

Cause adding big name UFA's is so easy. If history is any indicator we're not getting one.

If we start 5-0 the parade route is planned, if we start 2-3, blow it up? Wait for an adequate sample. If the goalies continue to struggle after 15/20 games, I'm confident management will address it. It's not as if this team was a surefire playoff team anyways. Just stop making these threads, or make one giant one for children to vent after a loss.

We could have attracted a few if we tossed some Ilya Kovalchuk-type contracts around. Unfortunately for all of us, this team and it's fans think we're the Phoenix Coyotes.

You think Brad Richards would turn that much money down?

Ilya Kovalchuk @ $6.6 cap hit? Don't worry guys, we'll pay Grabovski $5.5 instead.

What 5-year rebuild? When did we start rebuilding?

Burke refused to do a rebuild, and that's a big reason he's no longer a GM.

I'm with you.

We won't be able to compete as long as we're not willing to pay some serious cash for superstars.
"But they don't serve this much", "but it's immoral", blah blah blah pile of ****. Well you know what, you want that superstar, you better be ready to pay. Because if you're not paying, somebody else will.

I live how mos people here are terrified of overpaying one dollar for a player, while at the same time admiring the Rangers for example. Rags dished out insane amounts of money to get the free agents they got.

Every team that misses the POs has a % chance to pick #1.

The higher in the standings ,the lower % chance you have to pick #1.

The worst that can happen is the leafs get bumped 1 spot, thats it, thats all.
