Yeah right, Avs will surely go for that. EJ is signed for a bargain contract, while PK is asking for the moon and Radar is by far more valuable than Eller and the 2nd rounder.

Why would you engage anyone in a hockey discussion forum with such vitriol if your intent is to actually, you know, have a discussion? Some of these young posters are so peculiar to me. You seem to be under the misguided, though unfortunately common, belief that watching a lot of hockey necessarily makes one knowledgeable. It doesn't. I'd have been happy to engage you in a discussion about Johnson but, as always, I lost complete interest when you posted like a child. Thankfully I can weed out such 'quality' posters from my view!
This has got me interested and one of the better one I have seen. This meets all my demand in terms of if we had to trade Subban. I also think that the Avs would not move on this. The value is just about there but we may have to sweeten the pot since you put O'Reilly.

There's nothing to discuss here. And thanks for calling me young, I appreciate that.
Why would we trade Subban or Eller? We missed the playoffs last year, the LAST thing we should be doing is trading good young players.
We'll lose Subban in 2 years anyway with Molson completely low balling him. Might as well see what we can get now while he has value than do another fiasco trade like the Ribeiro one. Management in Montreal can't handle young stars for squat unless the player bends over backwards for them and I think history is proof enough of this.

If you refer to the proposal for O'Reilly and Johnson, well, the former will turn 22 in 2 weeks, and the latter is 1 year older than Subban... if you're not refering to that proposal, well, you may be right, but if we can get other similar young players, I don't mind. Some people seem to forget that we get something back from a trade...
I wonder how much time will Edmonton give to MPS to get his game together. Wonder what we could offer them in return....
Before the latest draft and this half season, I would have thought dealing from our defensive prospect depth to add an MPS would have made sense. Now I'm not so sure. Edmonton could use a dman prospect, but I think we need more time to evaluate the Hamilton rookies before we move one... and it looks like we'll have plenty of forward rookies to shelter up front in Montreal over the next few years. We could offer an undersized forward, but I don't think Edmonton would want any more of those.
The Sharks might be looking to trade Clowe as he is struggling and the fans all want to trade him away. What about Cole for Clowe? We'd finaly have a bruiser on the top lines. And we prepare for next season cap hell.
To Pittsburgh:
PK Subban
Lars Eller
Max Pacioretty
Rene Bourque
To Montreal:
Evgeni Malkin
Miscellaneous roster dumps
Montreal gets an elite player for the first time since Patrick Roy. Pittsburgh improves at defense, gets a placeholder on center (Eller), and finally has an offensive winger better than Pascal Dupuis to play with Crosby.
