I'll be shocked if anyone but Crawford is in net with a 3 day break coming up. Emery will start 8 games at most this season unless Crawford craps the bed again.
6th game in 9 days .. the boys are going to be tired.
Wings are rested and will be up for this game for sure.
That said the Hawks rise to the occassion with the help of their fans to come from behind for the 3rd game in a row and win 5-4 in OT!
It never matters when, or what the status of these 2 teams is, when they meet it's almost always a good, hard fought game. I expect the same tonight. Hopefully the scouting report on Wings says to keep Brunner in check. He is as dangerous as any Wing.
Shutdown the Zets-Dats-Brunner line and you shut down the wings. Their secondary scoring is almost non existent. I expect Hawks control throughout this one.

They actually changed it cause it wasnt working out. Lines were Filppula-Datsyuk-Bertuzzi, Franzen-Zetterberg-Brunner.
Makes sense. Saw Bert had a good first game back. We'll see what happens.
Yeah ive got a bad feeling, ive been watching the hawks. Been very entertained lol. Wings are still probably a playoff team, but I dont think there a match for teams like the Blues and Hawks anymore. Im just wondering how many goals the hawks get on the Smith-Quincey pairing...

This is going to sound made up, but it's not. My Dad, (stepdad, but my DAD) was born in Gaza when it was still part of Palestine. He was a Christian Arab, which would be like being a Nebraskan Muslim today. He fled to Canada in 1963 rather than be forced to join the PLO. His first name is Saad. I'm thinking of getting him a Hawks jersey with SAAD on the back. How many Arab kids can grow up and see their name on an NHL jersey?!
We're going to watch the game on Center Ice. My dad is a casual fan, so will be blown away when he sees this kid on the Hawks first line wearing that name.
How has Saad played thus far? I've only caught the Columbus game, and was too caught up in the bad reffing to notice.
Have a good game, and a good year! Would love to see our teams play each other in another series if I can get life insurance for stress.
Best way to win this game, is just completely overwhelm them in the beginning, go after their defence men fast and try to exploit it early before their forwards get a chance to get going.

Saad has looked solid out there and not out of place. He hasn't really been dangerous in the sense of getting any points but he loooks to be much more than just a body. I would think the points will come ... hopefully tonight! Get your dad to look for #20 and hope to beat your Canucks everytime we see them!

Saad is solid. High hockey IQ and built like a truck. Excellent wheels. No problem for him melding with the top 6 despite being a rookie and no points so far. His points will come we have no doubt. Always in a good predictable position. Plays a mature game. Hes a keeper. Excellent choice for a sweater. Get an authentic with the chain stiching.
Saad to me looks like he's still just a step behind and hasn't adjusted to NHL speed yet. He shows flashes of "getting it" each game and he'll eventually get there. I just hope Q and friends see that too and keep him on Toews' line.
