Drafted MacKinnon last year, and actually him in the NHL for a bit until a concussion made me worried, and I sent him back to junior. I play on superstar, which drives me a bit batty, but it keeps the game competitive.

Usually Huberdeau jumps to anywhere from 84-89 after one year in the CHL. Last time I played as MTL I started Galchenyuk in the CHL and after one year he jumped to 83, then one the Calder as my first line center in the NHL.
Was going to start a regular series and got through a couple seasons last night as the mighty Edmonton Oilers. Unfortunately forgot to keep track of the moves made.
The start of the 2012-13 season is upon us, and the Dallas Stars are expected to make the Stanley Cup playoffs. General Manager Joe Nieuwendyk announced several signings to bolster their roster, as well as multiple depth signings for their AHL affiliate, the Texas Stars. "We brought back Radek Dvorakand Marty Turco, who were both wililng to take price cuts to compete with us again. We had also offered Dominic Moore a contract, for his faceoff and defensive prowess. Jonathan Cheechoo and Alexandre Giroux were signed to bring some veteran presence to Texas, with so many young players on the squad this year." The pre-season brought good tidings, with the stars notching 3 out of 4 wins. Forwards Jamie Benn, Loui Eriksson, Jaromir Jagr, and Derek Roy led the team with 5 points each, with 4 goals from Jagr.

I can't believe they haven't fixed that stupid AHL line glitch in Be a GM, where you have to set your AHL lines to best lines if you don't do them correctly and back out into the roster moves menu.
So incredibly annoying.
Waivers make the mode unplayable so I have to turn them off.

Have the assistant coach plug someone in. Still have to go back and fix the lines, though, when the AHL team plays again. At least you don't have to change *every* line.
Want really annoying? Have a goalie get hurt when you carry 4. I started carrying 5 because of that.
Finished my fourth season. Progression is goofy.
Larsson finally progressed, from 84-86. Henrique and Bieska moved up one point, to 83 and 84 respectively. Urbom, who looked like a lost cause (75, red 3.5), jumps to 80 for some reason when he didn't do much other than hold down the 6th spot, when he wasn't hurt. The D I claimed off waivers goes from 74-80.
Josefson, who I kicked off C to wing, preparing to get rid of him, goes from 77-79 and now his individual ratings look really good. So I guess he stays and gets to get a shot at one of the top two lines.
AHL progression is just retarded. Everyone who has made it to 74-75 does not move, regardless of what they did. My second round draft pick, generated defenseman d-man, goes from 67-76 even though he played third pair. Burlon, who has 100 points or so in around 120 games over the last two seasons, and simmed well in the NHL during an injury replacement stint, stuck at 74. Was hoping he'd max out at 79.
Now, this one really annoys me. I've pushed Clermont hard as an AHL starter, last two seasons he has a huge winning %, GAA under 1.80 both seasons, over 10 SO, save % over .930 both years. I do not touch Albany unless I want to screw around working on shootout moves....
Last season he stayed at 72. This season he stayed at 72. Huh? He's a dominant goalie at his level, I understand he has a 2.5 ceiling, but what does it take him to improve?

Because of his age, Ryan Kesler hardly changes his overall regardless of where and how you play him. He's generally always going to be an 88 overall center man, or thereabouts.
His best position is RW, so you not playing him in his best position might (MIGHT) hurt his production. However, it's not a bad option if you are deep with centers.
For example in my New York dynasty, I had Seguin and MacKinnon as my #1 and #2 centers. I also had Matt Duchene, who I instead choice to put as my first line winger. Duchene struggled at the beginning and only got I think 40 odd points, but once I got another really good player on the first line with the 2 of them (Biggs), he jumped back to a consistent 70 point guy.
In short, it works for some and not for others. Try it though and keep an eye on Kesler's production and see if it differs in anyway from his normal production.

The Blue Jackets are a team that has struggled to put pucks in the net this season, ranking 21st in the NHL, and as such, weren't expected to fly many players out for the NHL All-Star Game this year in Detroit, MI. Jack Johnson, who has posted an impressive +18 to go along with 7 goals and 23 points through the first 2/3 of the season, was selected to represent Ohio hockey this year. This will be Jack's first NHL All-Star Game appearance. Columbus enters the all-star break with a 25-20-7 record, placing them 9th in the Western Conference.

Thnka for the help. Yeah, I have Spezza on my 2nd line in GMC.. I'm doing pretty good I'd say lol. Just got a trade offer with Kesler in it so I wanted to know. If I accept it my top 2 lines will be:

Great deal for you, Huberdeau will be around 6 overalls better than Eller
Hey, I have been working on a Minnesota Wild Dynasty for a little over a year using NHL 12, I tried NHL13 and although the skating is a lot better the BAGM experience is terrible.
I downloaded a custom roster that made the overalls of all the players more realistic EG - Superstars are 90+, 3rdliners and 4th liners generally under 80, AHLers in the low 70's.
This roster also included created players for prospects not in the game as well as adapted the potential for future stars (MacKinnon, Jones, McDavid, Ekblad). I also added some created players from my beer league as 16 year olds to see how they develp (no one was over 70 ovr with higher then B- potential).
I play on Superstar with modified sliders to make this a pretty realistic hockey simulation. 10 minute periods will see shots between 20-40 and hits around 15-35 depending on the team. Passing percentages are usually around 62-75%. Penalties very from 2-3 per team to 6-7.
I'm currently in the 2014-15 season so I'll recap what I've achieved so far...

Figured it was only fitting for an expansion team, even if this is our 3rd year... although we're fairing pretty well, holding 7th in the East after the All-Star break.
He's a mid-level Swedish prospect, who in the previous roster, was one guy that I always picked up.
He developed pretty slowly despite top AHL minutes, but commands a pretty good trade value, and come year 3 or 4 of your dynasty, can be used to land a really good trade as his trade value is overrated.
