Man, the sports just don't stop in my life. I don't think there has been a break since hockey returned. It's either been the Sabres or the Cavs, every single day. Great time to be a sports fan.
Ruff sits Grigs for...? Man Lindy must laugh at getting fired. He's like Tony Montana hopped up on coke doing whatever he pleases without any thought.
Ruff would sit Grigo so he doesn't burn his fifth game yet. Lindy said he might want to give him a day off to rest, and it also gives Ruff and Regeir a few more days to make a decision on whether or not to keep him up the rest of the year.
How does lindy not realize it's completely moronic to put grigs between gerbe and scott? Jesus. What's the point of even having him here if you're not going to even give him a chance to get some offense going? Put hecht there and you at least have a makeshift shutdown line with him and gerbe. scott's useless except for fighting. Also, betting ovechkin lights us up and we lose 4-1. Vanek, Poms, or Hodgson with the lone goal.

The Grigorenko question is a daily one in Sabreland. Ruff gave it a new twist Saturday by admitting he probably erred by playing the rookie on the fourth line with John Scott and Nathan Gerbe in Friday’s game. The coach said he was trying to get a better matchup against Carolina center Eric Staal and it left Grigorenko on the outside looking in.
“It’s like burning a game,” Ruff said forlornly. “For the most part, having the Hecht line against Staal was working pretty good for us. Ninety percent of the time, we wanted a tougher guy on faceoffs against him. Then I got to a point where [Grigorenko] hadn’t played for so long, I didn’t think it was fair to throw him in a tough situation. Your legs aren’t going and I burned up a game really is what I did.”
Ruff said he didn’t want to make the same mistake today and that’s why scratching Grigorenko might be a choice.

Why are posters not getting this?
-Ruff put a checking line together of Ott/Hecht/Kaleta to go up against Eric Staal. Ruff felt he needed a line like that to slow Staal down after the game he had the night before.
-Because of that Ruff felt he had no where to put Grigs other than the 4th line.
-Ruff feels he probably should have sat Grigs for that game instead of wasting him on the 4th line. Thus in Ruff's mind wasting 1 of the 5 games.
-Ruff feels it was probably a waste to put Grigs on the 4th line. In hindsight he feels he probably should have sat Grigs instead of wasting 1 of the 5 games.
-He admits he made a mistake and doesn't want to make another one by playing Grigs today and getting into a situation where he may not play much again. Thus wasting another 1 of the 5 games.
It drives me absolutely batty that I pay the NHL for Gamecenter and games on their own network are blacked out. NBC and NBC Sports I can understand, but this sucks.

Do they black out the online stream if you pay for that instead of through your cable company?
Ya center ice is a sports package that usually carries all the NHL games, occasionaly has blackouts though, I've seen them show NHL network games before though so was wondering if they had this one

It would be nice if center ice included NHL Network in the package, I have to spend an extra $15/month just for NHL Network for Verizon Fios. It's in the "sports package' which has a bunch of other channels I never watch except for NHL Network.
