Algeria dominated both games but haven't scored in any of them...Togo in a decent position to avance now, only need a draw against Tunisia

Algeria are the first team eliminated, Ivory Coast first team to guarantee their passage to the QF and group winners

1. Ivory Coast 6 +4
2. Togo 3 +1
3. Tunisia 3 -2
4. Algeria 0 -3

Ivory Coast vs. Algeria (dead rubber)
Tunisia vs. Togo

Togo only need a draw to advance to the QF, Tunisia NEED to beat Togo. Algeria/CIV is a meaningless match in terms of QF placement.

Arsenal should allow vuvuzelas whenever they are playing Gervinho.

Oh and it doesn't help that the ref swallowed the whistle on what should have been 2 penalties

But no excuse, African officiating has always been ****, so we should have found a way to score despite that

Morocco score an early goal against South Africa but unfortunately have started to waste time already

If results hold Morocco win the group and South Africa still advance

Other game is scoreless early between Angola-Cape Verde

Morocco and Angola take 1:0 leads into halftime which means Morocco win the group but South Africa still would advance

Morocco dominated the first 10-15 minutes, got their goal but then decided to bunker which I don’t think will work another 45 minutes, they are not even bothering to attack, just booting the ball down field.

Angola are doing their job but they need South Africa help to advance

Living in a moroccan dominated street: a roar just filled the streets when they scored 2-1.

Morocco and all North African sides remind me too much of ex-YU side...never can deliver at a big moment and blow games in dying minutes

GROUP A
1. South Africa 3 1 2 0 4:2 5
2. Cape Verde 3 1 2 0 3:2 5

3. Morocco 3 0 3 0 3:3 3
4. Angola 3 0 1 2 1:4 1

Cape Verde advance to the quarterfinals in their ACN debut and hosts South Africa win the group. Morocco fail to get out the group for the second straight ACN while Angola had a poor tournament for their standards

Morocco haven't made it to the qfs since 2004.
