Santos must of laid it into the guys after Thursday. Probably said if they thought they would come to training camp they should be lucky to not get a trip to Cincinnati. Guess everyone has an off game, but the whole team? Tyson's gone, so wonder who else will not go to Austin tonight.
Can I get a report on Wellman? 20 points in 32 games doesn't seem too bad, but I wonder why he didn't get an invite to camp? Any ideas? How has he played down there?

Thanks.
Best guy on the team with the puck on his stick. Well below average with the puck not on his stick. Been much better of late.
One thing you can say about Tallon and Santos is they don't beat around the bush players know exactly where they stand. Nice not to have a general manager tell you a washed 3rd liner is the new savior for the franchise.
Just an FYI because I found this out today but the team didnt actually need to clear a roster spot to sign both Kulikov & Kovalev. This was due to Trocheck being back in juniors and having a "sliding" contract.
As I said in the Wright thread, dont be surprised if Santorelli is demoted as well temporarily so he can keep playing and he's already cleared waivers I believe.

Found out the same thing. Thanks for the heads up though.
Hey Nate, I know it's early but do you think Petro gets a crack at the Panthers next season or would it be best to get another AHL season under his belt?

I think it would depend on the what the Panthers blue line looks like next season. I think by the end of this year, he'll be ready for the NHL, but not if he's going to be scratched 3 out of every 4.
Watching this kid mature before my very eyes is something to behold. Hell of a player.
The Rampage just recalled Garret Wilson from Cincinnati. I'm curious how he does in this callup to the AHL. Was on a pretty good tear of goal scoring in the ECHL (was tied for 10th in the league in goals scored).
The guys played with a lot of grit last night. One good thing in our favor is we only have 3 games in the next 14 days. Hopefully will let Florida heal up some and us a chance to get these guys in the system. Not going to be easy in any stretch. Hate to give points away, but was glad to get the win in OT last night.
Just have to keep fingers crossed on our injuries and hope we don't get anymore. Also will give these guys a chance to show they belong up here.

A lot of moves today by the team. Sorry to see Sim go. But with all the injuries in the NHL I'm sure someone will have him on there team this week. Maybe Florida? Would like to see Caruso come back. Last game he played was on in for under 2 minutes of play. Don't know if he would have to go through waviers though. Hate to loss him if he does.
Caruso already cleared waivers so he won't have to again for the rest of the season. Unfortunately, he's out 5-6 weeks with a broken wrist.
I have said it for the last 2 weeks, it's time to let the kids in Cinci play in San Antonio. Wilson, Luciani, Lindstrom, Pacan. This season is a lost cause. Give the young guys ice time and prepare them for next season.
