Is poster of the year something real? I just assumed Krishna declared himself that.

I'm afraid if I praise him now, he'll turn back into ship Bryz of last season just to spite me.

Then I'll be sad, because this is the Bryz everyon---

Nope. Not going to do it.

Screw you for sucking last season Bryz.

Haha, no I was being serious. Is it a real thing? Like is there a poster of the year every year? Based on most posts or what? Just curious. Haha.

I love how most are surprised at how well Bryzgalov is doing. I posted last year that it was because Bryzgalov put on an extra amount of weight (nearly 30 pounds) and he was really uncomfortable at the 225 pound mark. Now that Bryz is back down to the 195 pound mark, we're seeing that there's nothing wrong with him at all. I'm looking forward to Bryz winning 25, possibly 30 games in this shortened season and looking fantastic doing so. Of note, it should be mentioned that his GAA is 2.23 and he's at .923 Save Percentage, fantastic numbers for any starting net minder.

More like he's paid a whole lot through the years where most goalies fall apart.

but if he plays like he has so far this season. the way he played in phoenix and anaheim, then he's worth it. there's a ton of goalies i can think of that have played great through their 30's up until 40 which is what were expecting. you factor in that he takes care of himself, and that he could play really well until he's 38 39 then his contract aint a problem AT ALL. there's a lot of goalies with higher cap hits that don't warrant them. their just based off potential. carey price comes to mind.

There certainly aren't tons of goalies who've played up to 40 at a high level. Most either flame out completely or end up as backups.

Also, can we all admit that Leighton is not an NHL caliber goalie, and Holmgren has made a huge error every time he's re-signed this guy?
