Nick Cousins picked up 3 assists tonight for Sault Ste. Marie in their 6-4 win over Oshawa.

He now has 76 points in 49 games. He's tied with London's Seth Griffith for overall points leader in the OHL.

I wonder if we'll see him get called up this season if there's an injury or suspension?

LOL. I know it was mentioned a few posts prior. Had to look it up.

Somewhere Ron Hextall is smiling.

One the Flyers writers retweeted a guy explaining the situation. Apparently Heeter let up a goal got pissed fired the puck in the area of the ref, it caught glass and went into the stands.

They said more than likely he's going to face a suspension.

Stolarz picked up his 3rd win of the year in a 3-2 win for London.

He stopped 28 of 30 shots.

Way too early. He's playing in front of one of the best junior teams, lets not forget that.

I agree with you, but it should be noted their other goalie has been struggling mightily ever since stolarz got there.

So that could open the door for Stolarz to get more playing time nice.

I don't know hopefully it does but it seems like Hunter is rotating them every other game.

I think they're still trying to get a good read on Stolarz.

From highlights, Looks like Noebels is playing like a Hartnell type of game in the AHL also. Getting his big frame infront of the goals and getting some dirty goals. By most accounts, he has looked good in most of the games. Good to hear from the 20 yr old. I do hope he gets a small taste this season. Not many prospect guys ahead of him, but say someone gets hurt, Shelly (blah) and Wellwood are ahead of him, then you have Rinaldo who comes back making it 3 guys.

Sucks, but also doesnt hurt that he gets to play top minutes in the AHL. One of the top lines + top PP. Seems he is understanding the pro game better which is great for when a callup occurs.

Difference is all those guys in front of him are 4th liners and nothing more really. So if a point producer were to go down for a long period of time I think he would get some consideration. Then again It's only his 1st year pro so maybe not.

I would have said the same thing but this is the same team that thinks Talbot and Feds can play on the top 9.

The Flyers might not have any 1st line winger prospects, but they do have some high end third liners it looks like. Noebels, Cousins, and McGinn are all looking like high end depth guys every team needs, especially in the playoffs.

I think McGinn is more of a 3rd/4th liner. Noebels and Cousins have the higher potential in my opinion.

I think both of them peak at the 3rd line, though they can be injury plug-ins at higher lines, which is a compliment considering this team's usual depth.

Leier is another guy I'm intrigued to see the ceiling of.

Agreed but I like what I have read and seen of McGinn so far. If the Flyers had to move a more talented guy in a trade, I think he could produce well enough as a 3rd liner.

McGinn is yet another guy who has impressed me more at the NHL level then anywhere I have seen them. Powe, Wellwood (ok maybe he looked a bit better in the mem cup), MAB, Tolpeko all come to mind as other guys that did the same thing when called up.

I don't think he'll amount to much. but i honestly can't say that i know that much about him. i know he's had some injury problems recently. i've only seen him play twice so far and i wasn't impressed to tell you the truth.

I'm assuming the Flyers will let him finish out his 4 years of college hockey and take it from there. Is that safe to assume?
