While I eventually want to see Brodin with Suter, the Scandella-Brodin pairing in Houston was awesome. Scandella was over a PPG when paired with Brodin. I know its not the NHL but that pairing was what allowed the Zucker-Granlund-Coyle line to be dominant in the early going. Let's hope they continue what they were doing in the AHL.

I do think that the Wild defense better get their lunch pails tonight. Pietraenglo and Shattenkirk shooting from the point with Backes, Oshie, and Stewart in front of the net.
The Mcdonald/Tarasenko/Perron line (I believe that was a line when I watched two of the games) in transition is going to be interesting to watch as well.

Suter - Brodin
Scandella - Gilbert
Stoner/Falk - Spurgeon
Those pairings look good to me ... however ... I wonder if Yeo would be willing to put Spurgeon in the 3rd pairing. Yeo has been effusive in his praise for Spurgeon calling him 'boy genius' and 'our Shea Weber'. Clearly Yeo is enamored with Spurgeon. Hard to reconcile that kind of lavish praise and the limited minutes of a 3rd pairing.

Could we fix the thread title since the game really starts at 5 pm CST.

We should really consider the possibility, that the game might exist in two separate space–time continua.

Should I go sleep for 2,5 hours and then get back up OR just stay up until the game ends?

If the same team (that made some horrendous mistakes against the Wings) shows up tonight, then we lose by double digits.

Pretend you're playing the Nucks tonight, boys. You always seem to have some extra jump and fight when facing those dweebs.

Blues fan here. Just wondering what your guys' lines look like. Excited to see Parise, Suter, and Granlund to play for Minnesota. I think the game will be a lot more close than you guys think. You guys have a solid team this year and I'm pulling for your guys to beat out the damn Canucks.

Something along the lines of...

Parise - Koivu - Heatley
Bouchard - Granlund - Setoguchi
Cullen/Powe - Brodziak Clutterbuck
Mitchell - Konopka - Powe/Kassian

Suter - Gilbert
Stoner - Brodin
Falk - Prosser

Move the D around a bit if Scandella plays.

I hope we don't see a Brodin - Scandella pairing. Yikes.

And Dr., I think Mitchell may play up before Powe if that's what it comes down to.

Why not? Yes, they are both young. However, they were absolutely dominant in the 8 games they played together in the AHL.

That's what I would do, but I thought I saw Powe up there on one of Russo's tweets.
