I remember myself and others saying the Habs were built to be a fast transition team and play a run and gun style. Ofcourse we were shouted down while Martin was praised on his "brilliant" play and now we have a much better coach in Therrien and finally seeing the habs vets and youth playing a game they understand.
It is like night and day with the same team under a different coach from last year. Martins firing was the best move we made.
You were the same guy who also liked the Kaberle trade and thought PG should have kept his job.
This team so far this season has done something that other habs teams in recent years couldn't do: NOT play to the level of their competition. MT has them battling every night, believing in themselves, and playing uptempo and aggressive hockey regardless of who they're against.
-Gallagher and Galchenyuk look better every game, and the fact that they play on the third line makes our team all the more dangerous. Great feed, great goal.
-Cole, Eller, DD line looks to be bringing it tonight. Hope they gel to help the absence of Maxpac
-PP looked great
-Price looks solid again
-Emelin with an assist
-PK looks great too.
How come people can't understand how important our injuries were last year ?
By the way last year before the season started, the so called TSN experts had the Habs in the playoffs.
Everyone shrugged off the injuries and called us a crappy team, including many hockey personalities and our own fans. Pissed me off because we're much better than we performed in 2011-12, and I've been saying it since last season ended. Here's hoping this kind of play brings out the hypocrites in all those naysayers.
