Leighton is not an NHL goalie

all 3 goals were savable if he was either in proper position (second goal) or if he wasnt slow as molasses going from side to side

1st goal: It looked like Leighton slipped a bit on his pushoff going side to side. Gah.
2nd goal: Changed direction off Talbot, but it still wasn't THAT fast-- willing to overlook.
3rd goal: That was just a snipe. Not much of a chance for MFL to stop it.

refs realize that whistles dont disappear if you don't use them right? the NHL has made them to infallible, they need to be held more accountable when they interfere in a game to much. I do t know how the hell the league would do that but 8 penalties a period is crazy.

Schenn challenging Vinny to a fight is alright, but after a clean hit they both should have taken off their helmets. If you have a visor and you have time to take off your helmets then you should do it. Granted you are fighting someone respectable in the league (no penguins).

Leighton was not good. I just hope Bryz can keep his confidence this season because he is a good goalie when he has confidence.

The Flyers still have a chance in this game. They just have to come out and hit everything that moves. A Simmonds fight and/or a Sestito big hit could get this team rocking.

He wasn't in good position for goal 2 at all. He is more at top of blue that shot is stopped even with the deflection. 3rd goal he was looking around. **** sakes after they score he is amazed that I went in.... Like he could possibly be beat short side. He didn't get the memo from game 6 I guess. He is a sad case of a goalie.

Its not the goalie. They have 3hof snipers/passers on the pp, you cant take penalties against this team. They do this to uss all the time.

You can't blame Talbot for trying to block a shot...

Exactly anyone defending him is clueless.. Leighton should be nowhere near the NHL and its showing this game and hell his entire career.

You telling me a ahl goalie who hasn't been in NHL for over 2 years that has been waived multiple times and never claimed has a hard time tracking passes by NHL players ???? I'm shocked ?

This aint even on Leighton, even he knows he's brutal. It's all on Holmer for continuing to sign this scrub.

Im not buying the kool-ade given out by JJ and Clement. Leighton's positioning and reaction time are subpar. Thats why its 3-1

There's gotta be a better goalie in the free agents pool, right?

Such a frustrating period:

- Great starts mean nothing
- Crombeen is a ****ing Joke!
- We get a 4 minute Peco and I'm sitting here praying TB doesn't get a shortie
- Simmonds is so undisciplined
- Special teams battle against TB basically means you lose
- And as if all of that wasn't enough, the TB announcers are the absolute WORST! Felt like smashing in my ear drums...gosh...so ****ing obnoxious!

He overcommits on the first look and is too slow to get over once the puck moves.

I only saw the replay once but Vinny's hit on Kimmo looked legit and not particularly excessive. Not sure Schenn needed to do that. Definitely lucky not to get an instigator penalty too.

using the word "flattened" to describe winning a game in OT is a bit of a stretch....

One thing I hate about the CSN crew is that they never call out players.

Leighton was bad,

Giroux was below average

Simmonds is a clown

Just once I'd like to hear Jimmy & Billy call out one of our goalies when they're playing this poorly. Quit making excuses for them. 2nd goal was garbage and regardless if it deflected off of Talbot's stick, showcased Leighton's subpar reflexes. 3rd goal regardless of Vinny's accuracy exposes Leighton's piss poor positioning.

You go back and listen to Prism broadcasts and man, they didn't hold back but neither did they do a disservice to the viewer at home. You have a responsibility as a broadcaster to enlighten Joe Public as to nuances of the game.

When did all these broadcasts become so "root, root, root for the home team" BS.
