The first trade of the season has gone down between the EDM Oilers and The CHI Blackhawks. It was a 1 for 1 swap of two young snipers sending Jordan Eberle to CHI and Patrick Kane to EDM This leaves both CHI and EDM one trade left for the season
On the block:
Jeff Carter
Jonathan Bernier
Draft picks
Nobody is untouchable on this team, but some players would require an awful lot coming back (Kopitar, Richards, Doughty, Quick). Anyone can be moved in the right deal though. PM or Kik me with trade inquiries. Fair warning, I might take awhile to get back to you on Kik, I don't often have my iPod on me.
This is just an idea but I think it would be sweet if it was 2 trades per team a season but were aloud an additional one before trade deadline since in the NHL that's when most of the trades would happen. This way it can give the 8,9,10 place team to decide if they want to trade some young picks for next year, for better players for the chance at the cup. Let me know what you guys think about this.

Thats a great idea! I agree for the 3 day period of the trade deadline each team will get 1 extra deal!
interested in: Kessel, Gardiner, Kadri, B.Ryan, Duchene, Tarasenko, Shattenkirk, Couture, D.Boyle, Jagr...GM's if you have interest in trading any of these players let me know

Ok Boys, I decided that those of you that make it the full season will get access to unlimited trading next season. The whole reason for the 2 trade rule is to keep teams closest to their original rosters if we need to find a replacement GM Thanks for understanding

Thanks!
I don't like this at all, I say keep it as 2 trades and the extra deadline trade that's good enough.
Hm interesting just to get a better understanding of where your coming from why do you think this?
after this one season it will basically turn into what it did in MOM, and the teams will become unrecognizable. Keeping it at 3 trades is fine, and it actually makes trades mean something, and you'll want to utilize them properly.

I defiantly understand where your coming from having recognizable teams is great! But I think the real problem with MOM was that people made all there trades and left leaving the next GM with their custom team. Look I love trading and this 2 trade rule will kill me but I think that if the GMs in this league can prove they will be here for the long run I think they have earned the rights to make their team custom to their game play. Again I appreciate you voicing your opinion I want to hear what everybody else thinks as well so if your reading please post how you feel
I'm fine with a two trade limit for the first season and then making it open season for anyone who lasts a full season. I'm already in two leagues with trade limits, so I wouldn't mind having one that's more free wheeling. Team identities aren't all that important in the end so long as people aren't screwing over teams with stupid trades and then leaving their mess for someone else.

Yes I think team identities are important until you establish a league full with reputable GMs
This is a hard decision cause you never know who will leave but the guy that join in as a new team as the weak custom team, it's there fault they didn't get in here sooner if they want to play. But your choice guys.
