Can't call any time who tanks (Oilers) undeservedly suffering...

Also, Toronto will never get any sympathy from anyone (at least in Canada).

No, it was just funny coming from who said it.

Based on what you read on an internet board. Go read what happened to Leaf fans during the Ballard years. sorry, that wasn't deserving at all.

And that alone was 20 years, longer than Columbus has existed.

Anyone who says Leaf fans have been through the most has a very significant argument.

Any individual fan (note: never the entire fan base) who has been following a team loyally for a long time while never experiencing their team be successful. The teams that haven't won in a very long time will have lots of long-suffering fans. Chicago and L.A. are examples of teams that prior to their recent wins had had lots of fans go decades without success.

Really terrible they have to suffer with Bills and there history of failure ,, Should at least get some joy and success out of Sabres to compensate

With no signs of improvement. Still gonna finish top 2 this year. No team in NHL history has been this bad over a 4 yr stretch.

Minnesota. They are die-hard fans and even had to deal with their team being moved.

L.A. will send Buffalo the Lakers and/or Clippers if they send the Bills here.

There's people predicting cups and dynasties for the Oilers. Playing the "No Signs of Improvement" card is a tough sell.

They did have sketchy attendance figures as the North Stars.

A lot of southern market teams, they have to take a bunch of crap from everyone else saying they aren't real fans, don't deserve a team, etc.

THIS!

And doesn't the Leafs have like 13 Cups to their name as well? Not to mention 2 different times where they won 3 in a row?

Well, I don't want to pick my own fan base (although they qualify), so...

1. Buffalo. Expansion cousins have suffered as long as we have, and tasted the heartbreak of a bitter/contentious finals loss.

2. Minnesota. A state so hockey nuts it might as well be Canadian. Passionate, knowledgeable fans.

3. San Jose. Our Pacific coast brethren know the pangs of perpetual contention with no reward.

Buffalo and Columbus

A few other teams have sort of brought it on themselves from fan attitude perspective, but I'll be civil and not name names.

Yeah because they can get 4 tickets and meals in great seats with free parking for $99 and still don't always show great attendance.

Some of it like San Jose and Nashville isn't fair, but the rest are fair game.

Is that really their fault if they are a big fan of the team?

If you're saying Leaf fans deserve it you'd be 100% wrong. You just don't know the history of the team.

Little boys were molested and a couple killed themselves in the gardens because of our owner. He used the cup banners as drop-cloths for painting in the arena. He was convicted 40 times as a felon. And yet they sold out every game.

According to Leaf fans it doesn't matter how long ago a cup was won- a cup is a cup and they have more than many teams.
