Zetterberg needs to stop extending his shifts. And turning the puck over in the defensive zone.

Kronwall with at least three awful giveaways. To be fair, no one seems to want to get it out of our zone tonight.

This team has been stuck in its own zone for the past six minutes.

Defense is trash.

Fortunate to be down by 1.
I think the Wings will get stronger as this game goes

After that period, I can live with being down by only one going into the second.

I think Smith figured out it's easier to skate the puck out than give it away.

Hello everyone just wanted to pop in during intermission and get your thoughts on Jimmy Howard contract status

They were talking about him being UFA at end of year on our broadcast ,, Do you expect him to test the UFA market with the goalie issues leaguewide or do you think he is locked down by Wings before he has chance during season?

Did anyone else see Cleary fall by the offensive boards around the powerplay? I laughed out loud, it just symbolizes Cleary's season so far.

He looks to be gaining more confidence, maybe he just hates the Hawks cause he hates the icehogs. He always seems to play well against them.
That's a good quality to have as a Red Wing

I saw him paired with Kronner once, hopefully that will continue

That's the $5M a year question, isn't it?

Definitely. He's skating it up, making good moves, good passes, pinching appropriately. I like it.

We need to put Datsyuk line against their 1st line not Z's line.

Flip can help Datsyuk when they are pushed back.

Z doesn't have much help

I really can't see management chancing it with Jimmy, especially after the year we're going to have. I expect to see him locked up before the end of the season.

We won't get him for a home town discount that's for sure.
Not when he can wait few months to test the market

Started like derp, better as the period went on, some dumb plays and turnovers. Lashoff had a rough start.

Like CB said, Wings should have the advantage physically as the game goes on.

At least can't question the will. Saw Franzen throw himself to block a shot, and Bert finishing every check. Maybe if they could channel some of that energy to drive the net, too..

There's the Bertuzzi giveaway... why not just skate it out front?

This better not be a 1-0 shutout.

The lighting, or lack thereof, in the United Center is bothering me.
