Just cause you don't like my choice of words .. fine tell me but if Seguin would go into the corners and even finish a check once awhile he'd be more effective NOT let bergy and marchy do it for him ....

Take it wrong way .. if you want even defend him ... I would it's early I understand that !! I want him to be a superstar and if you don't dig deeper and control the game at a higher level like the crosby's or datsyuk's you won't receive the proper space .... meaning most players won't attack you they rather let you come to them !! example Malkin skates around with the puck in the other teams end basically un harmed until he pushes the puck forward to the net ... not always but it happens alot

With the emergence of Hamilton as a true PMD, our offense has gotten so much better... Our PP has gotten better every game, too. Once Seguin readjusts to the NHL game I think we'll be fine again. We don't need much at all. Maybe an upgrade on the 3rd line LW, but Bourque is good enough for now.
Yes it totally could be the adjustment and I'm not saying he's bust at ALL .... team could look worse and truly believe great things are too come for SEGS nd Dougie but certain people on this HF board can't take criticism towards any of the bruins

EVERY bruin is perfect that's what the Bruin goggles want to hear

Nobody here said he was perfect. But you are the only one saying he's "scared of his own shadow". That's just a foolish statement. He's already gone into the corners more than he did last season. He's not Milan Lucic out there, but he's not Phil Kessel, either.

Okay bud nothing I've said is calling him a power forward .. Kessel comment a lot of similarities but Seguin has a better head on his shoulders meaning good in dressing room and vision to see plays !!

Please stop lying to yourself ....

Umm changing the subject real quick.

Question for you guys. A top6 forward and a top4 defenseman are both available for the same asking price. The price is not something that Bruins fans would go nuts over (think 1st+ prospect not Subban/Khoko/Spoons).

Which player would you acquire?

That was my initial reaction as well. But I when I thought about it while grabbing a beer just now I dont know if a top6 forward makes sense, who would they bump out of the top6?

I could see a third line of Marchy+Pevs+Kelly being pretty unreal, but upgrading on Boychuck/Ference in your top4 seems almost the smarter option.

IF we could get Clowe for a 1st, prospect other than ones u mentioned and maybe a throw in player or 2 it should be done.

Throw him on the 3rd line to add some toughness Kelly and Pevs are tough but Clowe would add more.

And how do you fit a top-six forward or a top-four D-man under the cap?

They're four games into the season. I don't think Chiarelli is going to make moves based on a four-game sample size.

According to cap geek the bruins could add a 4 mil plus contract today and a 17 mil worth of players at the deadline. That's all before and Savard LTIR. In a trade other teams can also keep cap dollars.

They could easily add a 4m player with Savards LTIR

I was just making a cheap joke.

But I do agree that a defenseman is a higher priority than a forward. Gotta say, though, that I've been happy with Johnson and Hamilton has looked really solid.

I know but she asked how they would be able to fit a top 6 forward under the cap and Kaoz had a detailed post showing it wasn't a problem.

I know, I kinda quoted the wrong post I guess. Was just elaborating on what the Kaoz post said.

We could use another big forward who can play on either lines 2 or 3, I'm still hoping that Caron can fill that role.
