Why for Tallinder? He was invisible and in a **** show like tonight thats a good thing...
I'd bench Salvador before Tallinder.
Larsson in for Zid/Volch
The captain will not be benched. I'm not happy with the play of anyone in particular tonight, but Tallinder is more realistic than a benching of Salvador. I'm not sure I haven't checked tonight, but he had been getting the lowest minutes by all defensemen.

I know he won't be benched but thats how well I feel Tallinder played, if I were the coach I'd sit Sals ass before him. Sal was god awful tonight.
This team would be a lot better if we had a 3rd line.
We have been doing a bit too much experimenting with the lines and I think we need to start to stabilize things. That should happen when Matteau goes back to Jr and Henrique comes back.
PDB has had Tedenby, Matteau al over the plays trying to find someplace for them to fit.

Salvador 23:48
Zidlicky 22:42
Greene 21:43
Fayne 20:39
Tallinder 18:49
Volchenkov 17:01 (a -2 AND was on the ice for the last goal)
Guess which one 'should' get benched of the six?
And of course we have three fowards with sub-10 minutes of icetime again, and another (Carter) barely over ten minutes. Kovy 27:23 in the second OT game in three days, and the schedule's only going to get more taxing soon. This team needs forward help NOW, before the forwards we have start dissapearing.

I really don't know what Volchenkov could have done differently on the GWG. You sure he was out there?
Elias-Salvador-Volchenkov...I checked the highlight on NHL.com. Of course having two 35+'s and another cement-footed skater on a 4-on-3 is a good way to get scored on but still.
oh i know dude. i'm just saying that it couldn't of hurt if he was on the ice helping kovy put one home during ot. hence why i was never entirely convinced of him. the guy pretty much abandoned us . **** it.

the 4th line pissed me so much. i wanted barch out their for crissake. that's how bad that line was/is.
I want Harrold out there playing forward. That's how bad they sucked. We don't need goons in against teams like the Habs, and Caps. Donald Brashear hasn't played there since the year Roy was traded for ****s sake. George Laraque is retired, and hasn't played there in 3 years. Why do we need fighters in the game against them? The closest thing they have to a goon is Prust.

And Prust can actually play hockey. Those are the only types of 'goons' that should be in an NHL lineup these days.
Wouldn't mind seeing Moose in against Boston. Marty's been fantastic, and had no chance on any of the goals tonight, but Moose needs some work. May as well throw him to the wolves against Boston, then have him be rusty against one of those teams we really need to beat. If he's not rusty then that's even better. The guy hasn't played since April of last year though. This offseason wasn't much longer for Marty than last, but for Hedberg it's been about 3 months longer.
