Not so many broken twigs this year?

I'm not seeing so many sticks being made into Vs as much as last year. Did the stick companies do something to make them a little more durable? I've only seen like 2 twigs being tossed so far, last year at this time there would have been that many in just one game at least.

Why would the manufacturers make sticks more durable?

The bat manufacturers fixed the maple bats that were splintering and flying all over. Safety issue? I guess not so much with hockey until one hits an eye.

Are you watching these games? Have you watched any other games besides Blues games? Not that it matters.

I've seen a bunch. Probably about 5 between the Caps-Sabres and Sens-Pens games yesterday.

Karlsson alone has broken more than a couple on attempted slapshots.
