Plus, with Galchenyuk feeding him pucks, it's a sight we'll have to get used to in the near future. I really, really hope Therrien keeps Galchenyuk and Gallagher together, and with Prust on the other wing. They all click well and with Prust, they can play their game without worrying.

Heart-warming to see youth on this team not only having a great time, but helping the team win as well. When Gallagher scored and turned to Galchenyuk, with excitement in his face, it left me speechless.
I love Gallagher as well. I knew if he was given a chance there was no way they could send him down. He plays with such fire, such determination and he has mad skills too. If he was a couple inches taller the guy would have been a first round pick, but you can't teach passion like that.

The fact that he is always smiling is contagious.

Really exciting to see two offensively skilled rookies being given some PP time, or shifts in OT, even if it is only small bits of time here and there, we have to realize it is the start of the season, their roles will grow as the season goes on.

Therrien has done a terrific job so far with these two.

He has incredibly well-developed smile muscles.

Galchenyuk to Gallagher, get used to it!

Canadiens Montréal ‏@CanadiensMTL
Marc Bergevin and Michel Therrien notified Brendan Gallagher and Alex Galchenyuk this morning that they will remain with the team.

Not surprised, but still nice to see it made official!

Well deserved. It would have been blasphemy to send them down considering how they are playing.

Really quickly becoming one of my favorite players this young season.
He's been excellent on the forecheck and backs down from no one.

Love that he and Galchenyuk help setup each other's first goals.

The roar last night in the BC when he scored his first! Awesome. Instant fan favorite.

I agree with the Cammalleri comparison. Big difference is that Gallagher is a lot tougher.

The way the kid plays and constantly skates at full blast and goes into the corners like a Tasmanian Devil, now that is a great nickname for him.

I'll echo the comparison with Cammalleri, except with bigger balls. Gallagher is showing us how huge the mental part of the game is. All the skills in the world won't buy you a goal if you don't have the hunger, and all the limits won't stop you if you do.

Brendan, you're a blast to watch! Enjoy the adventure!

His tenacity and determination are unbelievable. He never stops and is always crashing the net. Gallagher adds an element to this team we sorely needed.

What i LOVED to see, is if you see the highlight of the game winning goal by Markov against the Devils, the first two to get to Markov from the bench was the two Gallys. Just me but really shows they love being here!

I certainly didn't think he would be useful in the NHL as early as 2012-2013.

If I had guessed, I would have said a fringe shot at call-up duty as soon as late 2013-2014.

His performance is not a fluke, he had 20 points in 36 games on a very bad bulldogs team in a stacked AHL.

from what i've been told he's got the brad marchand get-under-your-skin quality to him, and from what I see he looks like a young mike cammalleri. i gotta feeling we are going to absolutely love this guy for many years to come.

That was a fantastic goal! Heads up play at the blueline to get the puck and put it down before ripping it top shelf!
