I kind of missed the boat for signing up for a fantasy league. Is anyone here in a league that needs more GMs? I'd love to join one - preferably one that hasn't drafted yet. Cheers.

Its early and there are still a ton of good options left on defense. I'm wondering if I should replace Ryan McDonagh in favor of one of the other options, such as Wisniewski, Faulk, Ryan Whitney, Leddy, Spurgeon, Souray, Voynov, Ian White, Josi, or Niskanen( who could be a sleeper if he sticks with Letang). Our league is straight pts and +/-. Any thoughts?

Still can't decide between Mcdonagh, Faulk, or Niskanen. Willing to go for a sleeper, high risk and reward. Whats my best option total pts and plus minus?

I like Faulk but I'm also a Canes fan.. He should get alot of PP time and he's on the ice alot to begin with... I don't think his +/- will be very good tho.

I have Burns in my pool, does anyone know when he's expected to be back? Whats the latest on him? Should I just drop him? If I do, should I just wait for Ryan Mcdonagh to clear waivers tomorrow or get Johnny Boychuk, there's really no other good defensemen available. The best guys available going by the owned % on yahoo are:

Ryan Mcdonagh
Brendan Smith
Lubomir Visnovsky
Johnny Boychuk
Dougie Hamilton
Marc Staal
Adam Larsson
Braydon Colburn
Eric Brewer
Willie Mitchell
Josh Gorges
Brad Stuart
Andrew Ference
Tom Gilbert
Marc-Edouard Vlasic

I'm not sure if I wanna pick up another Shark in this pool since I already have Boyle and Pavelski as well as Burns of course. The categories in my pool are:

G
A
P
+/-
PIM
PPP
SHP
GWG
W
L
GAA
SV%
SHO

Thanks in advance for any help!

Do you have an IR spot? If so just throw Burns on there and wait, he's a better option than any of those guys you listed.

Hiller or Varly? Right now I have Hiller as an extra goalie, he had two good wins but they were mostly due to the ducks offense over preforming and not his play. The Ducks defense is terrible but he will get way more starts. Varly had two impressive wins recently, does he have a break out season?

Crawford is also still on the table, he's sure to get the wins but I'm a little leery of his abilities. Varly or Crawford?

Varlamov. Crawford is only a trade away to becoming the backup *cough* Lu *cough*

Both teams have a pretty good defense and PKs but each goalie is trending in opposite directions if you ask me. If wins are scored heavily, Crawford may not be a bad choice though.

When does the "you've added 4 of 4 players this week" thing clear? Sunday?

Simmonds, Ribeiro, Skinner, Plekanec, Kunitz, Zajac, Filppula, Bozak, and Duchene are my options for the final spot on my team. Its a total pts league for one year.

I'm also wondering what I should try and do with Shea Weber. He's been really bad for these first 5 games, does he turn it around? Or I could try and trade him, possibly for a good forward or another elite d.

Duchene. And I wouldn't sell low on Weber.

Duchene and Skinner are the high risk-high reward guys from that list. If healthy they'll probably finish top 2 in points out of that group. Then I'd go Ribeiro, Plekanec, Kunitz, Zajac, and Flippula in the next tier; the difference between those guys is negligible. Simmonds and Bozak are a step below the others.
