Last night was the absolute worst weather I've seen on the road during my time in Canada. There was a massive snow storm throughout the entire route from Windsor to Waterloo.
Averaged 60 on the 401, and it took us 5.5 hours to get back home on a 3 hour route. The best was definitely the car skidding from the third line to the first on the 401

I did a road trip when I was in Uni from Guelph to London the day before the Superbowl, which I guess is almost 7 years or so ago to the date. My good buddy and I were going to visit a girl he went to high school with, and party with her and her friends
Took us 3.5 hours to get there
.. To finish the story, we were so stoked we made it we got excessively drunk. I basically killed a 2-6 of vodka within two hours, and we ended up going to this house party (bare in mind I've never been to London before) .. I was such a mess, I was barely coherent, and decided I had to bail and get out of there .. So I leave this house in a snowstorm and somehow find my way back to this random girl's house.
Her roommates were all confused as to who I was and when they remembered, they were baffled as to how I got back to the house. Meanwhile my jeans were soaked, so they were nice enough to help me change into these silky pink pj pants, and when I woke up the next day I didn't even know what to think

I've seen that happen when we were traveling at about 40km/h. The car was infront of us so when it happened I was so scared it was going to happen to us too. Because it didn't skid to the 1st lane, it skidded all the way over into the ditch from the 3rd lane. Extremely lucky that they didn't hit anyone else.
Yeah buddy! Couldn't live without my SUV. Love that thing.
What SUV do you drive?

Nice. I tried driving an suv after couple years of driving my jetta it was quite possibly the most uncomfortable thing Ive ever done. Im sure its just a "get used to it" kind of thing, but a car that high and that wide makes me feel like Ive got absolutely not control over it.

That's pretty scary. I was so glad that the storm didn't hit us early in the day, when the roads were busy. The way the roads were yesterday, we would've either gone 5 KPH or had an accident there.
Saw an SUV stuck in the ditch when we were passing Tillbury. Same story I would assume.

I do wonder if those vehicles have winter tires on, those things help a lot surprisingly. I believe it is law in quebec to put winter tires on your car during the winter.

Isn't it mandatory for us to use all season tires at least during winter? Can't imagine what kind of a person it would take to drive with summer tires in Canada

Do you use all-season tires? Those work fine. We have been using those for the past 8 years and haven't had any issues.

Yeah they're all-seasons. Too many people panic and buy winter tires
