25 PIM for Clowe... 102 in total this week. Edit: Apparently 35 PIM, haha. Yikes!

Woot. Blues win ties me in wins and gives me a 5-3-2 week to start.

Unbelievable bad breaks tonight. I should have had it. GG CCf. But I'd rather have the Ravens W over the Pats

Even though I lost 4-6 this week I'm feeling really good about my team. I feel like this year's draft is the first one I've done well in and I feel like my core has finally grown up. To hold an offensive powerhouse like Tiranis and not get destroyed like I was week after week last year feels good man. I think I have a great mix of players and strong goaltending this year. My only concern is I need another prominent rookie aside from Lehner but aside from that, I feel I'm a legit contender.

Wasn't your issue last year also that you kept facing teams that were doing well? It continues!

Also...great start for me. =/

Need Halak to be more consistent and Smith to hopefully come back today or sometime this week. Still would like to make a trade for a goalie though, not sure if any are available.

Well for a lot of it yeah but I had a lot of kids, an unbalanced roster and was constantly flipping goalies trying to find the right mix for my team. Last week I was top six in a majority of categories in team stats and top two in a couple (with Tiranis being the only one to beat me) also my kids are starting to mature into their prime and I have a couple of vet players who are on fire. Plus I'm feeling very confident in my goaltending this year. My goaltending kicked ass last week and I have three young legit starting minders who are beginning to peak and arguably the best goaltending prospect in the world. I think I have a lot of reasons to feel optimistic right now.

Thanks for the critique though Mr. 0-9-1

Not sure how me saying your opponents over-perform is in any way a critique of your team? lol

And despite the terrible first week result, still lots of things to be happy about for me...namely Hamilton and Tarasenko. And glad Neal and Karlsson seem to be picking up where they left off. Crosby and Perry will be alright in the long run. Ovechkin is a big question mark though, as is my goaltending. I need to round out my depth, but by no means am I panicking yet, and my core remains solid.

Yeah, I meant more like a Ryan, Kane or Eriksson for a good center. All mine C are dual eligible or plugs. I want a natural C I can keep.

Won't even hit the minimum goalie starts for this week after Lu took all the games.

Bad week

On the upside, it's only gonna cost you half a point (shutouts) since you were losing every other category anyway.

Also, dunno if anyone watched the game last night, but Crosby looked hella good.

Allow me to remind you guys:

Quote:
ARTICLE 6: STREAMING
Part 1 – Add/Drops cap
a. Teams will be granted a maximum of 1 skater spot start per week, and 2 goalie spot starts per week. Spot starts are defined as picking up a player, starting the player in a game within 48 hours of being acquired, and releasing the player within 48 hours.
b. If the player being dropped is expected to be scratched (due to injury or coaches decision – an external source is needed for verification), then the replacement player will not be considered a spot start even if they otherwise meet the criteria in (a).
It looks like everyone is okay. Just a reminder to everyone.

It looks like we also added an add/drop limit of 3 per week that never made it into the rulebook:

http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh...&postcount=705

I will look for the actual wording of the rule.

Yep...Here's the rule that passed 11-1:

http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh...&postcount=289

The rule is that we are allowed a maximum of 3 add/drops per week excluding injury add/drops. Reminder to everyone, and we should add it to the rulebook.

Doing better. I'm excited that my team is getting out of the trailer park and becoming middle class. Tavares is an all-world player right now and if he wasn't on the Island he'd be considered a top three player. My goaltending is holding together. Kane and Duchene are showing flashes. Grabbed Grigorenko to be my second rookie. I'm feeling good about my team.

So I'm curious, which of these 3 is Tavares better than:
Crosby, Malkin, or Stamkos?

I'd take Tavares over a broken unmotivated Crosby.

Crosby looks healthy as ever, and since coming back last year (when he's been back with no more injury gaps), has scored 58 points in 37 games (playoffs included). This is after missing a substantial chunk of hockey. He's shown virtually no rust. The kid comes back and scores at a 129 point pace since then...I don't really know what makes you feel like he's "broken" or "unmotivated", but you're flat out wrong.

If you got offered Crosby for Tavares straight up and didn't take it while running away giggling then there's no hope for you in fantasy.
